Thinking of either a HKS, Remark SS or A’Pex exhaust, however, is there anything new on the Horizon due out this year… currently learning towards the Remark… I had a Martelius on my FK8 and loved that sound, sadly they are not going to produce one for the FL5.

I'd suggest the tomei single. Only reason is due to the weight saving. Only downside is that it's made in China. People say it's good quality though.

The Invidia R400 just came out. That's what I am running. It's louder than some, but has a deep, throaty sound. It's personally my favorite sounding exhaust and I love the burnt titanium tips.

I'm waiting on more info on the Mugen. Also holding out hope for a HKS Spec L at some point...

Im not a fan of anything Chinese, but the craftsmanship on the Tomei is A+.

With so many exhaust systems to choose from, FL5 owners are faced with an embarrassment of riches. We're very fortunate there are over 20 available and I believe if you're serious about purchasing an exhaust there's something for everyone. At this juncture, I'm not sure what waiting will yield. I don't anticipate anything will come to market markedly different than what is on offer today.

What I have observed in the last several months is a relatively large number of these exhaust systems are up for sale on the secondary market in like new condition or BNIB. The common motif is either they're too loud or the sound profile is uncompromisingly poor. Some folks will admit that and others will choose the "I'm going in a different direction." refrain. Do your due diligence to avoid a less than ideal exhaust experience.

Remark triple tip titanium version.

Too much money and I do a few track days and I think SS will be a safer longer term bet - also didn't actually answer my question

I thought the Tomei was single tip? isn't it stupidly loud? I don't think it will pass my track db levels

There's a single and dual tip for the FL5. It's still over 100 dB with the dual though.

Its so hard to tell but from just listening to exhausts on the internet. From videos I really like the AWE touring sound, sounds decent to me but its hard to tell. However since you track your car, and so do I, I think I am gonna need to have to keep the valve working so this limits exhausts. With some tracks max DB is 90 which is not very loud so you better off really just looking at valved exhausts (and some might even be too loud even with the valves closed)

I had reached out to 27won on instagram. I was told that their catback should be out by the end of the year. They are the last ones I am holding my breath for. If that one flops...idk.

Don't sleep on Milltek. They were the first to the market so we installed one on our shop car, I was not confident we'd keep it long term. Dozens of options later, we haven't touched it. We are a huge fan of their product and their service. With numerous combinations of resonators and both valved and unvalved options available, Milltek seems to have a solution for everyone.

Easily available for me in the UK, I'm not keen on the sound at all. I've decided to, and ordered a Remark SS dual tip, should be with me in about a week
