  1. Looking for a reputable shop in DC/Maryland/Virginia

For all the Honda enthusiasts in the DMV area: It's serendipitous that @NSXavier replied to this at a time where I was struggling to find a competent shop to install my downpipe. When I hit him up to vet his credibility and experience, he was not trying to sell me on anything. Instead, he...
  2. Service manual TWC (Downpipe) Remarks Confusion

I absolutely love this community. @GV27 You are a rockstar. Thank you!
  3. Service manual TWC (Downpipe) Remarks Confusion

Also where can I get accurate part numbers for these things along with their respective nuts and bolts?
  4. Service manual TWC (Downpipe) Remarks Confusion

Reading through the service manual a member posted on here a while back. The service manual says that the 1.5L civic needs to have its upper (turbo-side) gasket replaced on but not the 2.0L (FL5) Civic when replacing the downpipe. Seems kinda odd that the smaller engine needs a gasket swap and...
  5. WOT Performance: HPT Cooling Plate

Any risk of rattling with this plate now that the flex pipe cutout is gone? What about those running upgraded front pipes?
  6. Cooling mods for the average Joe

No, TSP has an option to cerakote the downpipes before they get shipped to you. Not sure who or what they use to get that done.
  7. Cooling mods for the average Joe

Got it. You see all these type R's with "PRL" plastered in the front grill and think "surely, there must be a reason".
  8. Cooling mods for the average Joe

A TSP Downpipe that is ceramic coated is making its way to my doorstep as we speak :)
  9. Cooling mods for the average Joe

Thank you to everyone that has chimed in on this thread. Some truly insightful thoughts and suggestions. @Rhorn I appreciate your candid feedback that I shouldn't be looking for problems. It helped put things into perspective. @siwelnosaj amazing product! Seems like low hanging fruit and a...
  10. Cooling mods for the average Joe

What cooling modifications, if any, do others recommend that would prevent heat soak and prolong the life of parts? I'm that guy who has a tune and a downpipe (on the way) to wake the car up conservatively. I want the car to last and perform well on spirited drives on a hot summer day. The...
  11. Codes after stage 2 with pops from phearable

How long after being on the tune did the codes pop up? The easiest way would be to flash back to stock, drive around a bit and see if the codes come back.
  12. [PRL][High Volume Intake] Missing intake filter bolt

When did you make this change? Curious to know if my unit shipped with the newer screws. I bought mine in October of 2024.
  13. [PRL][High Volume Intake] Missing intake filter bolt

I've seen a few threads around here and on reddit where folks are missing screws after a while. I don't think the thread locking compound that came pre-filled on these screws are enough. I added some locktite-blue during my install and have been safe so far. I check every time I open the hood.
  14. Checking for codes with Hondata after mis-shift.

First buzzer was when he hit the top of 4th gear as expected, second buzzer was from releasing the clutch in his subsequent mis-shift into 3rd.
  15. Checking for codes with Hondata after mis-shift.

Mannn, you are a real one. I’ve been trying to search for FL5 over-rev videos with no luck. Thank you!
  16. Checking for codes with Hondata after mis-shift.

Gotcha, yea I read the manual to confirm this as well. I appreciate your input! In this thread however, we were debating that if you did happen to release the clutch during a mis-shift that the shift buzzer will still go off once you hit redline and beyond. I think that’s true given that the...
  17. Missed shift; Over Rev code

@Bootyfett69 Are you still able to see the P0219 code when you scan the car?
  18. Checking for codes with Hondata after mis-shift.

Happy to report no codes past or present. Looks like I was within safe engine parameters when I accidentally downshifted and just got caught off guard. I do have an Evap Readiness monitor that is incomplete but that may be due to the fact that I haven't driven much since tuning the car in...
  19. *The FL5 Track Junkie Thread*

Do you remember if it asked you to confirm with something like "are you sure?" or a "warning this will clear all codes, make sure you fixed everything first".
