Had my 24 FL5 jailbroken at a Hondata event this past weekend.

I've been talking a bit to Jester over PMs here, and decided I wanted him to tune my car.

Pardon me while I gush- He is an absolute TREASURE for this community! It is rare to see someone who keeps a professional career on the side and can deliver this level of customer service and client satisfaction!

He is kind, communicative, intelligent, and extremely throrough. His tunes are great for all- For a stock turbo car, he starts out with a map he has torture tested on his own car, refined, and perfected it for his customer base.

The tune is linear, and pulls like a rocket up top. There isn't knock, excessive boost, or anything dangerous- just seamless power. His boost and fueling strategies have a nice margin of safety, so you can enjoy your car for years to come. That's all already great, but his main platform is education to help you understand what is happening with your tune, no matter if you're new to the tuning game, or a seasoned veteran.

His custom tune is a total steal as priced, and I feel like I have made a friend that actually cares about me, my car, and is invested in the journey.

Jester, thank you for what you do for all of us.

For those of you on the fence, get off that fence and support a vendor who loves these cars and this platform! You'll be very happy you did.
I couldn't agree more. I too sport a Jester Tune, and between both Type R's he's had to employ different tuning strategies because of differences in the setups. I'm very pleased with the tune on the black car. After installing my downpipe I was blowing out the candle above 7,000 RPM's. He noticed the issue immediately, recommended the fix, and after I had fixed the issue he sent me a revision. Run's and drives great, and will be an absolute WEAPON on track.

That's awesome @Noize - I am going to the St Louis jailbreak this upcoming weekend and plan on a Jester Tune as well - nice to hear more positive feedback
Prepare to poop your pants! It's a HUGE difference over stock!

So. Should I tune twice once with hondata and a second with the flex setup?
I'm on a 93 hawwwk tane tune since it's available at every track so I can't really speak to flex fuel. Jester is experimenting with flex fuel currently.

That's right you got that special fancy engine build ?

This weekend 93 at the track was $9 a gallon ? no ethanol options so good thing to think about thanks!

9 dollars a gallon is highway robbery! I think it's like 5.50 at VIR. I've got a track event at VIR coming up in September. I certainly hope they haven't raised the price!

Right I would maybe understand for 100 or 110 but pump 93 ? hard pass. Thankfully shell station 4 minutes away!

Is this where I complain about the 12 gallon tank and 75-80 mile usable range on track ?

So the flex fuel setup would cover both the pump and flex fuel. It self adjusts once setup.
Got it. Wasn't sure if there was any benefit to tuning with JUST flashpro and then adding the flex fuel components.

This is absolutely where you complain about that, and the fact that the center armrest is TERRIBLE.

If you are tuned, then flex fuel needs adjustment too. Since the base timing table will be different from the Hondata OTS map.

Well since I’m the unofficial guinea pig of the page. I took the plunge?.

In all seriousness the kit is extremely well put together and it bolts to the oem bracket location without an issue.

Now to start testing and making adjustments.

Sorry, I thought this was the track thread, I did not mean to hijack Jester Tuned thread!
