I'll have to wait until morning until I get decent pictures, but this is what it looks like right now, left side of the wheel is a lot better than before, but still feels smooth and is shinier than the right (lighting is hiding a lot).

looks like it's in good shape to me. Mine has gotten shinier with age but i figured that's from the protectant. Try the Meguiar's stuff. Works well.

Haha, yeah it looks pretty great in those pictures, but I also scrubbed it cleaned it for like 2 hours 😅

I just hate the smooth feeling on the more worn side, and I can't for the life of me remember if my 24 sport hatch had the same issue.

I'll try some meguiars stuff, it's always worked great. Otherwise it might just be a losing battle as the leather wears/breaks in.

If anyone’s in Denver. Feel free to pm if you’re curious about the gyeon leather care shit. I’ve already converted like 4 or 5 people. The product will speak for itself. In fact. Bring your wife’s car. Nastiest steering wheels ever. Between the cosmetics and lotion. It’s just nasty

Does it leave a matte finish, or will it be shiny? And do you have a link? I can't find it on their site

That depends on U and how much product U wanna use bro. The cleaner won’t leave any gloss. Nor will it change the sheen of the natural fake leather. The protector. If U apply and wipe once. It’ll be matte. Do it again and you’ll get a little more shine. Etc

This one has the strong cleaner. I use the mild version. That’s the only difference tho.

edit: so forgot to mention. It’ll last about 6-7 months. Except on the steering wheel and drivers seat. Due to those surfaces being messed with more. In my experience it lasts about 1-2 months on the steering wheel and about 3 months on the drivers seat

in a woman’s car all bets are off. Maybe it’ll last like 20 minutes. I dunno. They nasty and got dirty hands. Like toddlers

I've never used more than a lightly soapy dish cloth on the steering wheel leather, shifter, and interior surfaces.
Never had issues with leather wear or deterioration, ever.

Even with the ph difference in the soap? One of my friends told me to avoid it even though I was gonna do that next with some dawn dish soap

Tried some quick leather detailer from chemical guys, and boy howdy is the name "chemical" apparent. Not only did it make the steering wheel super smooth feeling, but it also has the strongest, nastiest fake leather scent ever!

I spent an hour or two last night cleaning it up, but the smell and slight smoothness lingers (probably because it had conditioner in it).

Surprisingly, the sonax alcantara cleaner alongside some purified water and microfiber towels is still the best I've tried so far.

I ordered the strong variation since every mild cleaner I've used doesn't work. Product page says the only difference (result wise) is how much oil and dirt it pulls out. I look forward to it arriving.

Have you spent more money for cleaners than the cost of a new wheel, yet?

maybe a pair of driving gloves would be less expensive than all of those cleaners?

Haha, luckily I only bought the sonax and now the gyron, borrowed the other two from a friend.

Will try the lexol next if it fails 😁
