I've had the privilege of working with shops like IAG and TPC racing for Subaru and Porsche specialties, respectively- but I really could use a local Honda/Acura specialty shop. Until I have a lift in my garage I basically refuse to do any substantial work or maintenance on my car, but I'm feeling that around spring time I'm going to want to start fiddling with my DE5. Just need a trustworthy place to do the work!

Did you end up finding a reputable shop that you like?

there’s a dude named Nsxavier that’s in MD that had an ITS and recently purchased an FL5 type R. I’d look him up.

Fellow gearheads with shared interests are worth considering. I'd rather trust a local person that I have met previously that demonstrates a passion and attention to detail before even considering them to do a basic oil change or even a tire rotation on my car.

I have not met @NSXavier but from his posts and videos, he seems to show both a passion and attention to detail.

I actually had work done on my FL5 by NSXavier and had a great experience. He took care of my EVS ball joints, rigid collars, and downpipe blanket, he's worth going to imo

I have watched NSXavier’s videos, and as a former OCD mechanic (still OCD though?), I feel very confident that he knows what he’s doing and gives a shit. I wish that was more common.
I would feel comfortable with him working on my car.

+1 for @NSXavier at PrecisionRS had him install some springs for me today, after reading all the horror stories of people popping the axle out. Was looking to find a shop that had actually done the install around here before.

I wanted it done right, and as meticulous as possible and he did not dissapoint. He was super transparent and communicative, sent me updates the whole time, better than any shop I've been to.

My work schedule has me split my time between the DMV and NYC and he was able to get me in on a weekend which is almost impossible elsewhere. 10/10 would recommend.

recently had done by @NSXavier as well. Superb service and a master at his craft. I can’t recommend his services enough.
