Hi everyone,

Today while installing an Acuity shifter, I accidentally broke part of the gate cable rod end while fighting with retaining clip.

My question is:
Can this plastic piece be replaced or is there a fix ?
I’ve searched quite a bit but couldn’t find a clear solution or a replacement part.
Has anyone experienced this before or knows of a fix (OEM or aftermarket)?

Thanks in advance for any help.

That’s tough man. Pretty sure you can’t buy that piece alone. You would have to buy all new cables.

Part - 54310-T60-A01

Alternatively you could probably get away with some safety wire or see if you can use JB Plastic weld

There is a place for a bolt on the acuity shifter, so I believe there might be a way to fix this, but I need to find a plastic piece to cover the broken part and secure it over it using a bolt

what do you think ?

Might want to run some safety wire into that recessed part just to keep it positioned correctly.

Maybe reach out to acuity? I know they did a ton of r&d for this platforms shifter and maybe they ran into this issue before.

Yes, I did think about using safety wire, but I’m not sure if it might cause more damage. I’ve contacted Acuity and I’m waiting for their response. Thank you for your help.

Man I came across this after searching for solutions. This happened to me yesterday when I was installing my 4 way shifter too! That retaining clip was so frustrating. The instructions say that it'll easily snap into place once you push it in. I'm following this, please update when you can
