This intake isn’t a direct fit? What you are trying to say on relocation of the ECU? Also the gasket you mentioned goes inside the cone filter and attached to the MAF cone? This is the same fitment issue as their exhaust that protrudes from the bumper way too much but you aren’t allowed to say nothing negative? Are difference on any temperature drop regarding this intake? Or is just noise?

That’s the thing, isn’t it? Too many American companies that offer products to this platform don’t even back up their product just offer a overpriced part just because. The ones that do are overpriced and overhyped, like the Japanese ones. Probably I get crushed for this, but that’s what I think. There aren’t too many that really take it into the chin, but I don’t want to tarnish the post of the OP, but it is a legitimate concern that you pay for something to have fitment issues or something and just accept it like it is something normal. More like with the way money goes nowadays, but sometimes at the end, most companies are for making money at the end of the day, and I understand it, but I could be wrong, but that’s just me. At the end of the day, we live in a free country, and everyone spends their money however they feel entitled to do it. That’s the thing, isn’t it? The intake drops in place of the stock unit, you move the ECU over one bolt hole over. It's reversible if you ever intend to go back into stock.

The gasket goes inside the MAF housing, not the cone filter. It needs a firm push and twist to seat the MAF onto the EVAP assembly. Not sure what this has to do with our exhaust or the design choice for the length of the tips. Anywho...

Not to get too far off track, but to also address your concern....the OP posted to answer a question people have had with experiences. I wish I could have provided some tips earlier, but his install was atypical of what others have shared with me. I often do follow ups with customers with new products and never got such feedback so much of what he expressed was new to me and so we'll see what we can do to make it easier for others in the future.

If you're curious about exactly why this product was created, you can read the numerous blogs we wrote detailing the intake...there are four of them.

I heard a rumor they were working on updating exhaust not protruding?

Ive always bought their products but they needed better testers/market research. The exhaust sounds awesome from videos I've seen.

That and Anita fire their social media video editing team, the obsession of mixing music over intake/exhaust audio... Every single company except AWE and Remark to name a few have just raw sound. No stupid music or talking.
The first new batch of those should be shipping out next month with shorter and equal sized tips

Hey now....that's a choice in editing 🤣🤣, but I'm trying to have the guys do more straight audio stuff soon

So isn’t plug and play any way and need to modify an already modified part but you do a lengthy research and on that can’t include proper fitting for parts? In your next post, you mentioned that 27won exhaust, and you said the next version will be shorter than the original. That makes me wonder why—but thank you for giving a response that says very little about the actual product quality.

As I stated, we live in a free country and a free market. If people are happy with the product, that’s fine. But when someone points out a quality issue, I can’t help but wonder why the changes are made. I’m sure your company will stick to its position, and I’ve already made mine clear.

Local dude has had it for some time now. According to log r it runs a hair cooler than stock. But at drive throughs and long red lights the temp lights up fast as hell. However, driving forward for about 3-5 city blocks gets the temps back down. It cools down as fast as it heats up. His wooshy sounds are way better than mine. I have the prl

local dude is actually in the space force LMFAO

No change in thoughts, it still has excellent PSSH CSHH sounds. Does not appear to show any issues. I can agree with iat climbing a bit faster at red lights and such. I'm not bothered by it since when under intended load for this car it'll be a bit cooler and sounds bad ass.

If outside the car at high load / boost can hear it a few car lengths away if standing outside according to my friend recording the video

Your car. Don’t let anyone put their hand in your pocket bro. 27wons intake is dope. No doubt

to be fair I bet even the stock intake lights up a good bit at long lights and drive through too.

I think iat going up is inevitable, overall I think it's pretty negligible unless doing 20 min hpde sessions in summer but by then everything is effected

My thoughts exactly. Clearly as long as the mf is moving fwd all is fine

same on the WRX and sti with a top mount intercooler. Temps got spicy in drive throughs but once U start moving forward the temps drop fast as hell.
