This intake isn’t a direct fit? What you are trying to say on relocation of the ECU? Also the gasket you mentioned goes inside the cone filter and attached to the MAF cone? This is the same fitment issue as their exhaust that protrudes from the bumper way too much but you aren’t allowed to say nothing negative? Are difference on any temperature drop regarding this intake? Or is just noise?
The intake drops in place of the stock unit, you move the ECU over one bolt hole over. It's reversible if you ever intend to go back into stock. That’s the thing, isn’t it? Too many American companies that offer products to this platform don’t even back up their product just offer a overpriced part just because. The ones that do are overpriced and overhyped, like the Japanese ones. Probably I get crushed for this, but that’s what I think. There aren’t too many that really take it into the chin, but I don’t want to tarnish the post of the OP, but it is a legitimate concern that you pay for something to have fitment issues or something and just accept it like it is something normal. More like with the way money goes nowadays, but sometimes at the end, most companies are for making money at the end of the day, and I understand it, but I could be wrong, but that’s just me. At the end of the day, we live in a free country, and everyone spends their money however they feel entitled to do it. That’s the thing, isn’t it? The gasket goes inside the MAF housing, not the cone filter. It needs a firm push and twist to seat the MAF onto the EVAP assembly. Not sure what this has to do with our exhaust or the design choice for the length of the tips. Anywho...
Not to get too far off track, but to also address your concern....the OP posted to answer a question people have had with experiences. I wish I could have provided some tips earlier, but his install was atypical of what others have shared with me. I often do follow ups with customers with new products and never got such feedback so much of what he expressed was new to me and so we'll see what we can do to make it easier for others in the future.
If you're curious about exactly why this product was created, you can read the numerous blogs we wrote detailing the intake...there are four of them.
