Fast forward to March 26th vehicles odometer was @ 3,070 miles

I was involved in an accident and decided after the damage the vehicle had gone through I was gonna part ways with my favorite civic build.

So I bought A red 2024 civic Type R.

Now I need to sell the parts from my civic si to fund new parts to my new daily.

There's ~$15K delta between the two vehicles. Seems like a resource suck for the car to never be a Type R. What was the cost of parts + labor for all you had done?

Congrats on the RR Type R. Welcome!

Congrats on the RR Type R. Welcome!
Close to $15k and it’s true but it allows someone who can’t afford Type R prices be able to experience something close to it.
After everything I was in the car close to $44,000

First, congratulations on the RR CTR.

Did you get to dyno your SI before the accident? Just curious how much power you got after the mods.

I said it before and will say it again.
The SI + 1.5T doesn't make sense.
At least when I bought my '17 SI with said 1.5T - which by the way had no reliability issues while I owned it, my cost was $ 23,500 - brand new. How Honda justifies that engine now in the $ 30K+ 11th gen SI, I can't see. Not when you can get a decent used FK8 with the fantastic 2.0L turbo for that same money.

As much as people dislike Hyundai. You can't deny that the EN 6Mt is a great alternative to the SI.

The EN is a superior performance vehicle in every way you can imagine very close to the CTR/ITS territory.

I can't understand how Honda decided to use this engine in a performance oriented vehicle.

So true - the price on everything, Hyundai included, has gone up - but the Elantra N and the Veloster N before it were a lot of bang for the buck. I went straight from the SI to the CTR but did consider the N cars before I found my used CTR. Overall, though, I still strongly prefer Honda.
But much respect for what Bierman has accomplished with the N division.
