I would think it wouldn't be good for daily driver as it could prevent the engine from warming up fully thereby causing rich condition, oil running thick, catalyst inefficiency to name a few

Yeah but again I that alot depends on where you live. Its hot af in Florida year round so wouldn't be a problem with OP

I picked up a HEL oil cooler for to good of a deal to pass up. Hoping that, along with a good radiator will be enough to run a 15-20 minute session in 85 degree max and below temps.
Even though it's a good deal, you're still wasting your time and money on the HEL oil cooler. I'm considering the WOT oil cooler. That's the only product I see available that is worth buying.

I just installed the pwr triple pass last week. So far seeing normal temps on street.

Agreed. The HEL oil cooler isnt effective because theres no shroud so its not getting any direct airflow. Theres nothing wrong with the oil cooler itself (I think the WOT kit actually uses the same oil cooler) its just that its not getting any direct airflow so it not really doing anything.

The WOT design is really good because it uses the stock ducting thats used to cool the brakes so theres no need to drill or create new ducting

I will be pairing the CSF radiator with the already ordered, HEL oil cooler.
Dude return the HEL oil cooler it will not make any appreciable difference and buy the WOT dual or single oil cooler. Save your money and don’t bother buying the CSF radiator. Between those two items you have bought you could have one actual proven WOT product.

I have the CSF rad. It definitely buys you more time before overheating, but will not prevent it on a warm day. Cool down time is much quicker. In my experience, I have around 10-15 minutes before surpassing 220f coolant temps (no tune) on a 70ish degree day depending on the track. I think there could be a middle ground where the full WOT kit is not needed, but unfortunately the HEL oil cooler just kinda sits out in the open where air can just flow around it. If properly located/ducted, I think it would help.

This link mentions the use of closed cell foam to fill existing gaps and force more air through the radiator core itself. Valuable information and something to consider.

That’s all I want. Between the CSF radiator and HEL oil cooler I’m hoping to run 15 minute sessions.

All 3 sessions I was ready to come in before the end of the 20 minutes and did extra cool down laps.

I got the HEL oil cooler for $475 and the CSF radiator for $675 off the forum…. the WOT dual cooler is really nice but isn’t cheap at $2,100.

I found 7-8 people between the forum and instagram that are running the same set up and said it works, no overheating.

Definitely not tracking in the summer when it’s hot and muggy here in Florida. That sounds miserable between and during sessions

For whats its worth the only cooling I've done was the WOT plate and pretty much was able to last as long as I could only reason why I had to end my session was for fuel. The stock setup was fine for me from January all through April. It was roughly 75 degrees every time I went.

Big reason why I got my BRZ. I plan on using that in the summer and tracking the CTR in winter
