I'm curious how many cars we've actually received. 2023 and 2025 so far are all more than the 182 we were rumoured to receive yearly.

From the little I know Canada is allegedly suppose to get around 600 FL5s over the production run but Honda is always assessing demand and the demand has exceeded their expectations. So don't be surprised if Canada gets a lil extra

I wanna know who was responsible for the initial assessment of demand. I feel the FK8 sold well here and we got absolutely shafted for this generation. 😭

To be honest Honda and Acura probably have the worst product planners in the industry. They have pretty much zero clue about Honda’s level of influence in the aftermarket and enthusiast crowd. If they did the new RSX would be a 2 door version of the ITS and not an electric crossover.

I agree. I do like what Jonathon Rivers has done building the Acura brand (Integra and TLX), but Honda needs to either let the American side do its thing or take over entirely. I would find it hilarious if Jonathon was behind the re-imagined RSX considering everyone wanted a 2 door version of the ITS.

Poor Jonathan doing what he can within a rigid Japanese centric management system. Honda will never let Acura trully be great simply due to how Honda manages Acura. Everything Acura does has to be tied to some Honda product. This strategy worked in the 90s because Honda was just using Acura to ship over Honda models that Americans would never pay the extra cost for. But Honda no longer offers those cars like the Vigor, Legend, Rafaga, etc. So Acura has to settle with rebadging Honda and adding extra features, but modern Hondas are so good its very difficult to justify spending the extra money for a badge that doesn't have as much brand cache as it used to.

Honda sat idly while the Koreans ate up most of Acura's market share, and they did so using some of the techniques Acura used to get into the luxury car market in the first place

Finally landed from the port in BC, to the dealership in Halifax! it'll make its way onto a transport truck in the next few days, and then it's new home here in Toronto! My original plan was to fly up, and drive it all the way back but cutting it very close to my daughter's birth so I'm staying put.

I've got several thousand kms of seat time including track with FL5's already, but having my own to mod as I/we please will be the real treat! We're getting our mod plan together for this thing, it's gonna be good!

Congrats to all the other new owners, and if you're still waiting I hope you land one soon :)

R-48320 is here :)

I requested that the dealership don't allow their own detailer to remove the wrap, prep it etc. especially no drilling of plate brackets. They were great and followed through with my request.

Railway and transport dust is caked on it still. My first drive will be to a close friend's shop, he's taken care of all of my personal cars over the years from ceramic coating, wraps etc. so he'll do the whole decontamination process to remove everything on the surface. We've been chatting about a color change - stay tuned!

The vehicles carrier "Lyra Leader" is landing tomorrow at the port of Vancouver (Washington) with 739 Fl5 for the US market. Usually there are CDN cars as well. I would expect them within a couple weeks
