Interesting the vin on this car for a 2023 is 189.
From the little I know Canada is allegedly suppose to get around 600 FL5s over the production run but Honda is always assessing demand and the demand has exceeded their expectations. So don't be surprised if Canada gets a lil extraI'm curious how many cars we've actually received. 2023 and 2025 so far are all more than the 182 we were rumoured to receive yearly.
I wanna know who was responsible for the initial assessment of demand. I feel the FK8 sold well here and we got absolutely shafted for this generation. From the little I know Canada is allegedly suppose to get around 600 FL5s over the production run but Honda is always assessing demand and the demand has exceeded their expectations. To be honest Honda and Acura probably have the worst product planners in the industry. They have pretty much zero clue about Honda’s level of influence in the aftermarket and enthusiast crowd. If they did the new RSX would be a 2 door version of the ITS and not an electric crossover.I wanna know who was responsible for the initial assessment of demand. I agree. I do like what Jonathon Rivers has done building the Acura brand (Integra and TLX), but Honda needs to either let the American side do its thing or take over entirely. I would find it hilarious if Jonathon was behind the re-imagined RSX considering everyone wanted a 2 door version of the ITS.To be honest Honda and Acura probably have the worst product planners in the industry. Poor Jonathan doing what he can within a rigid Japanese centric management system. Honda will never let Acura trully be great simply due to how Honda manages Acura. Everything Acura does has to be tied to some Honda product. This strategy worked in the 90s because Honda was just using Acura to ship over Honda models that Americans would never pay the extra cost for. But Honda no longer offers those cars like the Vigor, Legend, Rafaga, etc. So Acura has to settle with rebadging Honda and adding extra features, but modern Hondas are so good its very difficult to justify spending the extra money for a badge that doesn't have as much brand cache as it used to.I agree.
