Could be. Thinking about it, it could also be that we didn’t get a whole lot the first year and deliveries were ramped up in the following years. That said, if it’s more allocations that’s better.
I’ve said it a week ago I think

Two dealership told me they’ve got EXTRA unit that wasn’t on their list.

You’d think we’d be hearing from Honda pretty soon about whether there will be 2026 production.
Yup, I'm super curious what they're going to do. Perhaps we'll hear something in September about it. Maybe extra units or short extend into MY26? Special Edition? We've surpassed 182 units so who knows...

Bit of an update on this one: I called Monday morning and was going to go in the afternoon to talk numbers and potentially put a deposit down. The salesperson called me 30 minutes later, saying someone bought it. I thought, oh well, not an MSRP deal anyway, so no biggie.
Salesperson called me again today, saying the buyer couldn't get financing, so the car is now up for grabs. However, the price is now $67k because that buyer "purchased options and accessories" that they can't return anymore. Something about this seems fishy...

I would inquire on what the options and accessories are. It's in Albert and historically, they've been slime balls, so I wouldn't put it pas them to do that. That's probably why the other guy bailed.

If you're okay with the add-ons, do it. I feel like if Honda announces next month that they're discontinuing the Type R, it'll just shoot prices up.

The add-ons are as follows:

ALL SEASON MATS$558.20
BLOCK HEATER - CIVIC$438.80

Administration*$999.00

TPP-PAINT/UNDERCOATING/FABRIC/RUST PROTECTION*$3,099.00

Etch/Platinum Loyalty Protection fee$598.00

FIRST CANADIAN CERAMIC COATING*$1,999.00

PLATINUM XPEL H/FF/M/L/B/FR/HEADL/FOG/ A/R/D & ROC*$2,999.00

Mud Flaps - Civic$161.80

LWN- Civic$125.40

3YR Platinum Appearance Service Plan*$999.00

I adore the CTR but in no world is it worth $67k+tax to me.

That's the dealership putting all that shit on there. That's why the previous guy backed out. No one is going to ask for all that stuff. The usual Alberta dealership shenanigans.

There are not any mud flaps that actually fit the Type R. My dealership also tried to pull that one on me and the parts guy spent 1/2 hour trying to find a non-existent part... (not that $162 is a make or break item on that big list)

My dealer got their 3rd today which I dont think they were expecting. Badge number was like 15k higher than mine already (both 2025s) they are cranking these out now
