Do sneakers count if I put wheels on them?
It's a rough situation for sure. Not a lot we can do but wait. Again, keep in mind a bunch of people will drop off due to borrowing cost. I'm hoping I don't have to borrow by the time it comes but also need to spend a lot on renovations. My wife knows the car is non-negotiable though. She knows that the light inside me is dying each day without this car. We have a 2nd kid on the way and she asked what would happen if delivery dates coincides...I just looked at her...???

How do we ask for moderator or admin? We should turn this into the Canadian wait-list chat!

Well not exactly. I know of atleast one dealership that will sell the FL5 as a "used car" and have interested buyers partake in a bidding war.
Oh no. And this is Calgary dealer? Please tell me it ain't the ones I have a deposit in lol

I'm pretty sure the 2021 STI with 35km on it is still sitting around asking for 50k though...

That's just so shady! I think I know what dealer that is, they did the same thing with the FK8!

i second that if anyone knows how to start one, we Canadians need our own wait-list chat ...possibly even another thread for those that end up getting the car but with a color they don't want and open to swap/trade ...

but yeah our hope right now is for some to back out due to financing (7%) or price ... hate to be the one saying 'my gain your loss' ... it's not so Canadian lol

I always wondered if dealership employees are the ones hogging or #1s on the lists... i asked the dealership i delt with initially, if would they buy the car register it and then turn around and sell it as used and push up the price... he said no but now i learned nothing that came out of that dealership was ever honest

I honestly felt like I should have been the first one. Sales guy didn't know about any existing deposit lists and originally said $500. Then when I got there was like, it's 1k and there's someone in front of you. I think I called in and then was there a few hours later. This was over a year ago...13.5mo ago to be exact.

I felt like they checked internally or let some friend/family know after I called in.

I don't expect this dealer to pull some BS like buying, registering, then selling as used. I picked the best rated one and the most polite to deal with dealer in the area.

But yeah, I'f anyone finds that kind of crap being pulled, report it to Honda so they can pull their allocation and give it to honest dealers.

sounds like my experience i went from #2 on the list when i initially put the deposit back in 2021 and they claimed that #1 was someone that put a request for the LE CTR 10th gen .. to #4 about 4 months ago to now we are just not selling the car Honda hq told us that customers need to buy it online.... through my calling and talking to different dealers this past week, it's interesting to see how you catch some reps back tracking their words or catching their bs and calling it out

Honda Automotive
Customer Relations
Toll Free:
1-888-946-6329

that's the number I called and they opened a case number for me. Plan to take it and pay a visit to the dealership manager, let's see how their reviews end up taking a hit afterwards

It's good to always have your name at multiple dealerships. I left my name at multiple locations, but I only have a deposit at one location.
