It’s really sad, to see so many cars go to the US and almost nothing going to the country like Canada, I am very disappointed in Honda Canada?

Is this compensation because the US got shafted with the Si compared to Canada? :)

I may have misunderstood your comment, but comparing month-to-month, i see generally (if not significantly) less than FK8 -- at least for export. It would seem that the demand in Japan is keeping the numbers down elsewhere.
Pretty sure I saw somewhere that the production number annualy formthe FK8 were around 10k unit per year worlwide… I may be wrong…

Found this on Civic X, the source was apparently some Honda Japan FL5 marketing prior to reveal I guess, I'm also assuming they blended Canada into the "US" number.

So total Global FK8 production (over 5 years?) 47.2k.
I don't know if anything has changed since the initial quote of FL5 production over 3 years only, but assuming that hasn't changed and we're into year 1.5 of production, I don't think we're hitting 47.2k, also all arbitrary and speculation lol.

People like this piss me off, probably only wanted the car to resell in the first place while the rest of us were scrambling trying to get one. Up for sale not even 200 kms on it…

private owner getting in on the mark ups..

What really surprises me is that these scalpers take pics in front of their house. Not sure I'd want to risk rabid Honda fans knowing where I live while I'm selling the latest Honda unobtainium for a massive profit...

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

As an owner of an FL5 right across the border from you guys that are in BC - stay strong and don't settle. While I think the ITS will be a great car for me it would always feel like I settled. I did this enough when I was younger and know the feeling all too well.

The FL5 is truly an amazing car and it will be worth the wait. It will be that much sweeter when you actually take delivery knowing that it was hard to acquire!

Good luck on the Integra forums @RoidRage. We're a couple of the OG's here and I know you got screwed by a few dealers up there. I'm glad you're staying with Honda/Acura at least and didn't jump to BMW.

i hope no one buys them so they take a big L and look like idiots, all 80k fl5s are still up there and hope they remain unsold
Nobody will buy a 80k civic while they are still beeing made… they may reopen order next year like they did in Australia

This, don'get discouraged just yet guys. The same thing that happened to Australia can happen for Canada. It does require that you guys make more noise about it though, meaning email Honda Canada and complain to them especially those of you that have/had deposits but haven't gotten a car yet.

Distribution of inventory is always subject to change after reviews and production updates. So Honda sees that they can genuinely move more units to cover the investment then theyll take the steps to do so.

i agree that's almost rs3 m3 territory... and that demographic aren't in the market for a CTR and we are in for a CTR but not at that price point that's why msrp is where it is...i mean i can see someone seeking a CTR for 80k but may be in 5 to 10 years once they are discontinued and are considered collectable and even more rare to find, these sellers think CTR is like real state but and flip ?

I don’t think Honda Canada has anyone working lol
Many people have emailed Honda Canada back in 2022, even put in our emails to the Honda.ca website. (There is a slot for us to enter our email to receive updates for the new type R.). But Honda ca never email us!!
