Well, it's my only car, and my spouse also works, so it would have to be used. I'm just lucky that i often work from home... but i don't have control over that.
If push came to shove couldn’t you use your wife’s car and take her to work then drive yourself to work? I know it’d be a huge hassle, but if her car is better in deep snow I’m just thinking of options for worst case scenarios. The problem with the FL5 (like my Si) is that it’s quite low to the ground. The front lip becomes a snow plow. That’s no good.

yah, a big hassle... but, i already took the plunge, so i'm going to (ahem) weather it next winter and see. I will surely be getting good tires and finding out. I did get stuck once with a low skirt on another car, but i was with someone and the car being light, i was able to just push it to get it going. Since then, i always have a retractable shovel in the back during winter ;)

It's def worth 5k adm in my opinion , there's just nothing else like it for below 50k. I also expect my24s to get a nice price increase so something to consider as well. Alternatively, if you want to pay MSRP only, you will probably be able to get an ITS allocation.
Very true. Absolute joy of a car to drive.

I reached out to AutoNation Honda East Las Vegas for their SGP Type R for @Obscure_Worship .. but both cars at their location have been reserved.

2nd dealer I confirm.. AutoNation Corp is capping their markup at $5K.

There are two Championship Whites as not presold yet on the AutoNation vehicle finder. I can’t call them cause I’m at work. Happy hunting.

I highly recommend going in person to your local AutoNation Honda and confirming if they’re capped. And telling them you’re willing to place a deposit TADAAAY. The sales manager will see the allocation before any website does and they can have a salesman reach out to you. This is what happened to me. :p

New car sales manager had the Salesmen reach out to me ASAP.. 8am while I was on vacation. I put the $500 deposit and boom.

Found another one. In white. $5K adm plus extras which imho, is all negotiable once you go in person. The wheels and wing.. maybe not but everything else is.

I’ve been in contact with Valencia for this specific one for about two weeks now. They won’t budge on the additional accessories.

I just got off the phone with AutoNation in Vegas, they put me down on a list for future allocations but mentioned they only take deposits in person D:

Definitely puts out-of-state buyers at a disadvantage

yep... we're finding that a local customer going in person makes a crapload of difference. And also, many places (not just AutoNation) willing to negotiate down to about 7-8k over MSRP when in person. Last summer, most cars were about 5k over... and for this car, it's worth that given how well we are hoping it will keep its value over time. However, all prices are coming down now, so it could be wise to hold firm. JUST MAKE SURE YOU GET ON SOME LISTS no matter what, and check in-person with local dealers from time-to-time.

And, please keep in mind that because it's taking so long for the dealerships to get cars, even people who had deposits have dropped off lists or now cannot afford the car, so there are a lot of people here who got their car because the dealer went farther down the list. So, don't despair if you are 6th (or even 15th) on the list.

Salesperson who lined up my FL5 CTR asked if I can pass the word out:
Just an ADM, no accessories. Car is in transit from California.
ADM is $10k but they are negotiable; ask for David Yoon

Anyone have experience with using the rodo app? They have a new Type R for less than MSRP.
