Gents, if you or anyone you know is looking for a Boost Blue FL5 CTR, it will be here in 2 weeks. My dealer has one that they are willing to do for $57500 OTD, that’s $8k over.

Before y’all attack me, remember I don’t set the prices, I’m just making y’all aware. Car is currently in Ohio.

DM me if you’re interested

Got a referral fee and Honda keychain if you send someone to me.

But obviously it differs for everyone, so best thing to do is just go to dealerships and test drive some yourself :) Then you can validate that the CTR was the right decision ;)
Great advice under most circumstances... However, given that was not feasible BEFORE i bought the CTR, and that is when it needed to happen if those cars were an option for me. But thankfully, they were not options.

In fact, last year i was given a ride in a Mercedes coup with that all-leather interior and it looked so cool from the outside... but it was a let-down. I was actually Very disappointed with the interior. I hated the passenger seat, the dash was unimpressive, and while the car seemed reasonably tight for steering, it was "mushier" feel than i would ever expect from a lux coup (maybe it was set that way, but it was extreme). That told me the money was not worth it, and i would be unhappy with anything but a true performance car...so at least i had that info to go by.

Yes, how do you make an informed decision without driving it and feeling it for yourself? That was a problem since i was not lucky enough to even drive an FK8 unlike a lot of you guys.

I HAD to have the cargo and passenger room of a hatchback - there is NO way i could do a 2-seater, so all those in that category are eliminated. I also (like you and most people here) wanted the reliability and lower maintenance costs... so, there was no other choice besides the CTR or GR (Golf a distant 3rd). And, since the dealers typically aren't allowing test drives even if they have one... without being able to drive either, it was initially a toss-up -- 4WD vs. passenger space of the CTR. The interior of the CTR tipped the scales easily... then my 1st place on the list for a CTR cinched it.

I have never even visited an upscale dealership until i bought my CTR at a dealership that has them... but they are in separate buildings on the lot. It would be awkward...and they could probably tell that i wasn't in their league anyway. I doubt they would let me test drive a car i could never own.

Given how special the CTR is to drive, I love it, and i'm Not at all yearning for anything else -- my analyses are based on my career in consumer behavior. But, as i read the comments here... curiosity makes me want to be able to drive a high-end car in order to know/understand what is out there and what makes them so special... and now that i have a CTR, i would be interested in the comparison at some point.

I had mentioned a few posts back about having a deposit down at 2.5k over MSRP. The sales manager for the store just called me to confirm that I knew there were required accessories with that ADM. Started rattling off 8k worth of accessories including those bs protection packages and other junk no one has ever once wanted or asked for. Of course, none of this was ever mentioned previously, even when I asked about required add-ons. My wife is telling me just to do it since we can afford it, but I refuse to play these games, and I'm just not ever going to be okay with paying 60k for a Honda Civic, no matter how great it is. I'm bowing out gents, I'll check back in a year or two with dealers if I don't fare better with the ITS.

yeah, I’m going to say 95% of dealers are playing these games but I am willing to disco with them. It just takes the right amount of luck, patience, and endurance to get that right deal.

I will get one at $5k markup if it takes me a year.

That is depressing. At least tell us what part of the country you are in. That way we can set out the bat signal if we know something's in your area.

I paid $7k over MSRP for my BB last week. Bought it from Spitzer Honda DuBois in PA. Had another dealer at $7k over in North Dakota but went with the PA car because 1) it was cheaper to ship and 2) I liked the badge number better. lol.
