me this morning: Oh I found a dealership nearby charging MSRP ?
me 10 seconds later: They have 21 people/deposits on their waiting list ?
Find one and pay a little more if you need to. Regardless of what MSRP is these cars are going to be instantly worth 55k+ as soon as they hit the market.

i can almost guarantee this car will be selling at nearly $60k right off the bat...until more cars come in, it'll be very rare to see one in the wild

I know this is likely true but I find it so hard to believe in today's economy. People paying 150+ % MSRP with super high interest rates have really got to have their heart set on the FL5.

The 5+ FK8's for sale in my local area have been dropping in price steadily the past couple months that I've watched them. But that may also be due to the FL5 wait for most potential buyers....or it could be a sign that tides are already changing?

Either way - I'd love to know what the highest $$$ sale of a CTR will be in the coming months.

It may be financially irrational, but sometimes money isn’t the most important thing.

I'm almost certain you'll see some on the west coast going for 60K+. When the FK8 first released, dealers were selling for 10-15k above MSRP, this was back in 2017. Then covid hit, manufacturing delays etc caused the used car market to sky rocket. Most people can trade in their FK8 today, 5 years later, for more than what MSRP was back in 2017.

Those who are optimistic about the prices falling could be in for a let down. These cars will not be mass produced....willing to bet the US will see under 20k units in the 3 year stretch.

somehow being able to see and feel what you want is important for daily lives...money is just a lube in life...you can save it or use it !

In Canada, it's been a mix of:

Reservation via dealership which is either a) Takes deposit says they're going to do the paperwork required and they'll call you for colour preferences and additional info later OR b) take your deposit then call you back saying they have to refund your deposit and you have do it yourself via Honda website online and specify the dealership you wish to work with during the process. OR c) dealership puts you in a waiting list and your have to harass the shit out of them to get any info or updates.

I'm not big on spending money on stuff where I'll never realize a difference in terms of performance, but...
