Um…We’re missing half the equation here, or did I miss something? They’re giving you what appears to be a really nice deal on the front side for your Subbie. That’s awesome! But then, trust me, they will make up for it on the back side of the deal via ADM and other add-ons to your FL5. So, they may come back and say “Your red FL5 is going to be $65,000.” Oof!!! I’m definitely not trying to piss in anyone’s Cheerios here, but we know dealerships have to make a profit (and they will), especially on a hot vehicle. They can get more “creative” with the numbers when you have a trade-in. Maybe this all doesn’t matter to you. I’m only pointing out a potential problem if it does matter.?
I initially thought that but then I reread the post. Subaru is offering $40,000, not Honda.

Noticing they are dipping really fast, multiple "great deals" on cargurus in my local search. 2019 limited with 23k miles for under 34k.

I love the STI, I just think that the OP is getting a great deal if he's looking to sell.
Yeah. Bittersweet. I'm gonna put the OEM catback back on tonight. Sunday I'll bring it in. ?

Oooooh! $40k cash, just to buy the Subbie off you? @ELIAS64 ? That’s insane if they do that and you can take your money to the Honda dealer! Maybe they’re connected? Either way, I hope it all works out.

It appears Subaru is giving incentives to the dealerships in order to sell the WRXs that are sitting. They agreed that they would take it off my hands for the same amount without trading; I just lose out on tax savings.

@arsing116 was valid as hell. Now I'm open to SGP.
It is what it is at this point. Call dealers maybe even in-person vists if they’re local, get on reasonable sized lists if they exist… just don’t give up. It’s quite a bit of work if you want a great deal.

That’s absurd. 70 for one dealer wouldn’t happen even if this was a full 10 year run lol
I questioned it, but he said they started taking deposits when the car was 1st announced (which is why they had so many since so many ppl tend to drop out)... and he had no interest in any other deposits or discussions -- saying the deposits were to last for the duration of the model release.

He had 2 cars coming in, and if he wanted to try to sell them, he could have asked for an offer or for someone to come in and discuss... but the fact that he had no interest at any price tells me he is probably being at least mostly honest.

That's great! I don't know the Subaru used car market very well but, if you're being offered $40K I would take it and run. In other words, I would sell it ASAP and not wait until you return from vacation.
yah, i was going to say the same thing... to not wait!! the prices could crash any day due to just a couple of bad auction events.

Not sure! Anything I have posted on there is factual from NUMEROUS calls to each dealer. So if you got other info maybe they are dropping down. Was this your car? What did you get it for?
as i said... it could have been to stop all the calls... i had the car locked down since 1st day in august of last year. i updated the listing as best i could figure out.

I think you missed the "at MSRP" part. ?
I saw the MSRP part. It was still
Just so baffling to me. I refuse to make myself color blind so I’m looking at probably at minimum year wait for a CBP I’m on two lists at number 1 with deposits down but the chances either of those will be black are slim. So once they are allocated if I pass I’ll post here and continue doing the good type r lords work lol
