Black edition is coming looks like its a Japan specific run. Maybe its the final run of FL5 production.

Are we certain a random guy on IG got the scoop on a black edition of the FL5? ?

The FK2 did have a final black edition so there is precedent for this, but I can't find any other info about this from any other news source. Would be cool if true though.

Albo isn't some random guy. He's pretty well known and sometimes has the inside scoop on this stuff especially in Japan.

Seriously doubt they run the FL5 for only 3 years. I could maybe see them ending it at a 4 year run but these arent truly limited like the old days. They'll pump them out as long as the sales figures are to their liking.

I distinctly remember when the FL5 came out that Honda had specified a 3 year run. I don’t know where I found that info but that’s what I recall. Either way, we shall see.

I'm sure more information will be available during Tokyo Auto Salon. I don't consider the word "package" a final or limited edition model.

Agree. When these special edition vehicles begin that typically spells the end is near. In related news, Toyota recently announced the A90 Final Edition. Looks like that one is coming to an end also.

I found an article where the black edition was released by the Swindon factory to commemorate the last of the fk2. Limited to 100 units in the UK.

Yeah read the same thing. Has to do with some noise regulations kicking in 2026.
