That’s a good price, indeed. Unfortunately, I won’t settle for anything over MSRP. I want this car, but I don’t need it now.
Even used type R's are going over MSRP. My insurance paid me $42k (before taxes, title, and aftermarket parts) for my 2020 FK8 with 50,000 miles which is $4k over MSRP.

R price will hopefully come down but like you said the trade value will as well so kind of a wash. Then there is other expenses and maint on your current car while you wait for a R.
Yah, for sure that was my conundrum... the cost of maintenance on existing car out of warranty plus the sliding value of an aging trade-in. If you don't have potential maintenance costs, and your trade-in is a fairly recent year, then waiting is surely an option. Depending on how many 2024s are released to the wild, it could definitely drive down 2023 prices.

Ah right, and that too - MSRP shift. I actually did try all this - exchanging ADM for accessories etc. My $3k markup is already down from their usual $5k so between that and getting them to come up a bit on my trade I'm maxxed out with them.

Had to get a full set of new tires to make it through the winter while i shopped and waited for a new car. If the car i wanted had been sitting on the lot, i could have saved myself 1k in new tires. These are all factors that are unique to individuals.

Looks like Honda's Auto website has now updated to reflect 2024's Type R's (with updated MSRP) - of which zero are allocated around the country at the moment. (I just tried by plugging in random zip codes around the country). Hoping that these make it in by the end of December to help bring down the cost of the 2023s.

2024 allocations go live either next week or early December

I was hoping they'd add parking sensors! And change to USB-C. Looks like probably not for either, though I guess we'll see once the cars are actually here. But if there's literally no difference from the 2023 model, it seems like the move is to try to get one of the last 2023s.

Car market bubble has popped, just take a look at the recent cars and bids as well as BAT, and trade in values for used cars. It'll take awhile for the dealers to finally accept it and start dropping these retarded ADM, knowing how stubborn they are. All the people who bought cars to flip are sweating pretty hard now.

Some of the market cooling is also related to the holidays and it’s winter. Come spring time prices always seem to go up again.

Last I checked didn’t apply to CTR or Si.

sucks.

(but, thanks for the info!)
Navy Federal and Penfed have the best rates that I have seen.

I have never had a issue getting lowest advertised rate. Navy fed was advertised 4.99. Credit score above 800 no debt and 18k down and best I could get was 5.29/60. Pen Fed was a tad higher.

Finally back from school. Anything popping up recently? Low key wanted a 24 but you guys are saying that there isn't much of a difference right?

Thinking about starting to go on the hunt again.
