What Rear Brake Pads/Rotors are people using? I don't track my car so I was considering either getting the OEM pads + rotors at $374:
Or either the ACdelco Pads + Raybestos Rotors from Rockauto OR the Rear brake pad kid from R1 concepts
Does anyone have any experience with any of these? If...
I should do a full write up on this one day but Honda has had this tendency over the years to have gear grind in FWD manual cars. There is considerable discussion about clutch master cylinder (CMC) design or shifter cables on civicX forums and others.
On my FK8 I had significant gear grind that...
I use the Escort M1 which I have wired from my dome light which then powers my radar detector. Overall pretty easy

did it the same way he did the the radar install
If I didn’t have the radar detector I...
Had this same problem on the FK8. You can check the CivicX forums to see what ppl have done. The good news is FWIW it seems to happen less often on the FL5.
one time I took my FK8 to the dealership for a small warranty fix. I asked them about the dust shield rock thing and they were able to...
I tried this 2 days ago and it completely fixed my CarPlay! It Instantly worked more smoothly and Waze works perfectly. Both glitches have resolved completely (glitched map and navigation losing where I am)
We should boost this! Essential fix and super easy to do
The law is on your side:

To give you a little more detail for the relevant parts:
You have the right to take your car to a mechanic of your choice without it voiding your warranty
You have the right to use non OEM parts without it...
I get this all the time. Have not found a fix for this. Has made Waze completely unusable. I have been using Apple Maps and 95% of the time this doesn't happen. That's the best that I have found to mitigate this. System reset didn't help.
I do like full coverage of the tuxmats for the passenger side and the rear. I have dogs as well as transporting stuff in the passenger footwell like takeout etc I like the full coverage.
But for the drivers side I am using the 3D brand mats that I got from rockauto and they are great. $75 for...
I did. I let them know and they confirmed that they tested fitment on an automatic transmission car. They said that there are some makes/models that they do not recommend for manual transmission but that this was not one of them. Despite me trying to be as clear as possible I think they...
If you do get the AWE exhaust, today would be the day. Most places are doing black friday deals of 10-15% off. I just got mine for 10% off from evasive motorsports (plus free shipping)
I have the tuxmat floor mats, rear seat cover, and trunk tray. They are really great. However ...
The driver side tuxmat. While I was able to get it to sit pretty flush against the firewall and not interfere with the clutch travel, The rubber reinforced portion catches on my left heel as the...
Even used type R's are going over MSRP. My insurance paid me $42k (before taxes, title, and aftermarket parts) for my 2020 FK8 with 50,000 miles which is $4k over MSRP.
Tried installing the Acuity shift boot collar. I had one on my FK8. The OD of the acuity shift boot collar stem is much smaller than the OD of the stock shift boot collar stem by around 1/4". Because of this, the shift boot has to fold significantly to be tight around the shift boot collar and...
