Minors but could be better re: battery placement
Where would you prefer for the battery? It seems like it's as far away from the hot exhaust as they could get it while still being towards the center of the car. I'm glad it's at least in the engine bay! I think I saw on the GR Corolla it's in the back which is a pain in the ass.

The way the battery sit in the GRC is way better than most rear-mounted starting battery.

As said, it's a minor issue, but I think a rear placement would be better for weight distribution. The heat exposure would be far less than in the engine bay too, and if not then the battery insulation blanket could be retained. More importantly to me is placement of a 27WON FSTB (a wonderful addition BTW), as well as others that need positioning directly over the battery. To replace the battery therefore means removal of the FSTB - not a big deal but still a hassle. And as "madbikes" noted, battery placement in the GRC was well conceived. It is, however, more expensive and takes up some of the available cargo space. I likewise agree (and LOL) with "UFO CTR" that my FL5 is better than me, and that I'll likely never be able to exceed its capabilities. A good thing!

Has overheat issues been addressed from previous FK8 concerns?
It is believed the cooling issues have been rectified but it's too soon to tell. Once these vehicles see extensive track time we'll have a more definitive answer.

The car doesn’t sense the key fob unless you are really close to the front doors. When I walk to the back of the car for the hatch I have had issues with it not sensing the fob. So I go back to the drivers door and open it, then I can open the hatch. The automatic locking when the car stops sensing the key fob is hyper-active. Starts locking everything within seconds.

Relatively minor issues all in all

So they haven't fixed that on the new one either? I notice sometimes the car relocks as I am working on it and still within a few feet. Other times it seems that it doesn't lock at all, when I am a good 50-80 + feet away, which is even more scary. I wind up using the remote to make sure it is actually locked.

I didn’t know that was an issue previously. Looks like they didn’t fix it but I guess they did fix the auto locking since my car isn’t having an issue. In fact it’s too reactive and auto locks within about 3 seconds or so.

Better that it locks too fast than not at all.
One is merely annoying, the other could cost you our car if the thief can actually drive a manual.

The gas tank being so small is a minor inconvenience.

The door handle is too sensitive to water when you are washing the car. You have to leave the key somewhere so it doesn't keep locking/unlocking doors.

Why only CTR in Europe let you use the key fob to roll up and down the windows, but only down for USDM (may the rest-of-the-world?)?

You can change the auto lock in the vehicle settings area of the infotainment.

I turned it off cause it was pretty annoying. The proximity is too close and it kept locking when I was only a few feet from the car.
