I have a PRL HVI intake and RMM. My wheels spin to redline in the first two gears. Wheel hop is not a problem since the RMM was installed. I wish I could get traction before third gear. The traction control is on. What can I do to mitigate wheel spin besides getting a tune that has a boost by gear function?

Tuning via Hondata would allow you to customize boost by gear as desired. They also give you advanced traction control functionality that works better than the OEM control. Techniques like this are what allow 500whp+ FL5s and DE5s to be usable on the street.

I don't have a problem with wheel spin, and my car supposedly has more power.

I've probably done hundreds of autocross launches, which I guess is a different application from drag racing but my point is that it's probably something that can be remedied with skill and practice.

Or the motor mount is a part solving a problem that doesn't exist.

It could also just be a weather thing. With my summer tires in the fall (getting around time to swap in the winter tires), I get tons of wheel-hop and loss of traction without the wheels being warmed up.

The stock rmm definitely contributes to the hop, but it could also just be that ringing out first and second to redline isnt viable when conditions aren't right.

Maybe a dumb question but what do you mean by “RMM”?

Drive when it's warmer out.

Seriously, good summer tires lose a ton of grip the colder they are, and where you're at it's not warm enough right now to have good grip.

It's in the 40's most mornings where you are right now, and the high over the past several days has been in the upper 40's and lower 50's.
