New to the forum as I just bought a ‘25 Boost Blue Type R. Amazing car!

Apologies if this has been answered, but why is there no Type R owner’s manual? Mine came with manual for a Civic Hatch. Honda Garage has a Type R specific manual but only for the navigation system!

The car is very different from the hatchback which is a hybrid. CTRs have their own engine, transmission, and front suspension. Surely CTR owners need specific information re break in procedure, oil type, oil change intervals, and other maintenance information?

Ps someone on this forum posted a link to a Type R manual for the UK. Still find it odd we don’t have one for the U.S. cars.

Honda in the US cuts corners by making one manual for the Hatchbacks and just throws in info for all the trims in the one manual. A lot of information is the same across all the trims. I just use a digital version of the manual off of Honda MyGarage and search for what I need rather than thumbing through the physical. Also, Google is a thing.

Sure, but as I said, they are different cars mechanically. How useful do you find a manual for a car with a different engine and transmission?

Is there CTR specfic info in the Hatchback manual?

Of course, google is a thing, but it’s no substitute for information from the factory.

Yes, there is different information. It refers to the Type R as "Manual Transmission Models" in the owner's manual.

Someone on the forums had posted a service manual (via ALLDATA) that has a comprehensive breakdown of the 11th gen civic models I can post a link here if that helps.

Yeah, noticed that last night. Lots of references to manual transmission models with a picture of a Civic with a wing!
