@CrippleRipple your values today are much more in line with what I expect to see from the calibration with lower quality fuels.

You'll see higher values on map 3 "Sport" mode simply because it's the most aggressive portion of the file (the most boost). If you saw a maximum of 0.76 with lots of back to back WOT use on 91oct, that's definitely in the neighborhood of normality.

Send what you have over and I'll have a look when I'm back at work tomorrow/Tuesday depending on where the email sits in my queue.

It sure looks like you've got a real sensitive knock sensor at this point (not a bad thing from a safety standpoint), just kind of a buzzkill for performance use.

I'd still like to see what some high-quality fuel does before I recommend a physical replacement of the sensor.
Wow, great seeing you on here answering all the questions from everyone, can't wait to try this after my intake and fuel fill up next week.

@CrippleRipple , are you just out in the boonies or something?
you don't have Top Tier gas where you are?
https://www.toptiergas.com/licensedbrands/
No, I live in a very populated area and using various searches like above I cannot find any 93 octane in the state. No idea what Kansas did, you can only get it on the Missouri side of Kansas City based on what I can see. You can have Top Tier gasoline without having 93 octane.

I've tested quite a few different stations with great gas. One shop is owned by a racer and does not order the 10% ethanol based fuels most gas stations carry now a days. Also have an amazing amount of VP Fuel's to choose from.

Use to see 93 & E85 everywhere and it slowly disappeared.

Side note: ethanol is a good thing. Even 10%.

Yes! I was much happier with the results today. Just went to grab dinner and the wife was driving like she stole in on map #2....dropped my KControl down to 0.57 now. Much more in-line with what I would see with the 19.5/23 Dual Starter Map. The valve on top of the motor was not making any noise this time, not sure if that was contributing to my issue. It is right above the knock sensor on the back of the cylinder head.

I'll go out in a bit and make sure I get a few good KTuner datalogs for you. Your #3 map is hot man! lol It maybe only a 93 octane map for some cars!

The Shell gas station I got 91 V-Power from last night is actually know for being one of the best stations around. Actually a Charger, G35/370z, & Mustang group crowding the station for fuel before going out on the streets. Had to wait 20 minutes for all of them, asked a few of the Ecoboost guys if they had any issues with that gas and they actually drive 20+ miles just to get this particular Shell's gas. Everyone else said it was about the best you can find.

Not sure why there is no 93 octane in Kansas anymore, barely any ethanol blends as well.
I'm thinking VP Fuel's is probably selling only 100+ fuels as well, all the local race cars get there gas there.

I would also like to test with some 93 just to see......may see if a friend coming down from Kansas City can bring a few gallons next weekend.

Feel better about map #2, I just wish I could have the throttle response and boost response map #3 has.....it's unbelievable in corners! I had a smile the whole test run.

Appreciate your responses and customer service! You guys are awesome!
I'm glad I could get some testing done to see what's going on.

Please support these guys!

This tune/map IS A MUST BUY! I'm seriously impressed and I'm very picky about my tunes. Amazing job man! I wish your shop was closer!

@CrippleRipple Side note: ethanol is a good thing. Even 10%.
Yes sir, just stating all the different types of fuel I've tried.

The Kansas City area BPs have 93.
Yep, as I stated earlier but is 2 hours from me and it's mostly on the Missouri side, two state city.

They also have ethanol blends.

Pull up Kansas on a gas map, I cannot find anything. It use to be everywhere!

yeah, tough to find 93 by me too, only a few stations between work and home. Plus there's no e83 either...hour away or so.

Took the car out again for datalogging on Map #2 to start and Map #3 for the trip home. Wanted to get Rob as much data as possible after my datalog fail earlier. Interesting as always!

76F Ambient temperature with no wind & car warmed up to temp, no noise from the controller on the head. KControl started off at 0.57 from the testing in the afternoon.

Live in the Flint Hills so there are a lot of hilly & curvy roads, pushed Map #2 pretty hard and saw KControl averaging 0.66 until I put it into sport mode. It was an absolute monster in the corners, you're able to hold boost through a tight section and just mash down out of the corners. This thing screams out of the corners, it's really amazing and Map #3 is even better! My KControl leveled out after back to back heat soaked runs around 0.74 which did not match earlier figures. I assumed I'd do better with the drop in temps. Stayed on curvy back roads with pulls in 2nd,3rd, & 4th to simulate a race, sometimes letting off into 4th gear. Hats off sir!

Pulled into a lot and saved the datalog in KTuner for Rob, switched to Map #3 and said the heck with it and left it in sport mode.
Took the higher speed city roads back but instantly had a mustang try to take me on a 2nd gear roll.....2 shifts later and I was gone, Map #3 needs to be called "Instant Boost" lol........Still managing to have some dampening so you can hold boost through a corner, it's amazing(I'm gonna use that word alot). To my amazement both TunerView & the laptop were reading KControl at 0.70 after a pull through 2nd, 3rd, & a tad into 4th......strange it lowered over Map #2, nothing like earlier! Did some average driving using small amounts of boost to check drivability more and it is spot on....I feel like I'm shifting smoother and/or the car is so much smoother on the shift! Down or up! KControl went to 0.72 and I came around a corner to find a modded charger doing a burnout at a red light.......Pull up & didn't have time to fully stop but almost so I smashed it until launch control held it at 3000RPM and I instantly took off with very very little tire peel, no wheel hop or torque steer on the all season tires........Wow! KTuner nailed launch control and I was using 2500RPM but was never leaving this hard, Rob nailed it. 3000RPM is perfect for launching a tuned Si! Left so hard & was 2 cars out instantly. Actually pulled on 4th gear even more! Top end is amazing on this map! Gave it a few more uphill pull & around more curves until I got home and KControl actually dropped into the 0.66 range until I did one last 3rd gear pull before the turn to my house and it settled at 0.74?.......Very puzzled at these results vs earlier! Completely different, not sure if the car is just adjusting to the map better now or what? That controller on the head wasn't making noise this time either.

So Map #3 was the star tonight and it felt great to have it back. I'd like my values to be a bit lower but not bad for Kansas 91 octane V-Power with back to back heat soaked pulls I suppose?

Sending in some actual good KTuner datalogs, hopefully Rob can see something I'm not but it seems to be behaving properly or decent now!
Just strange how Map #2 & #3 were so similar now.

Amazing amazing map, torque everywhere you need it, so so much smoother than even the stock tune, & crazy mid-high pull! Map #3 pulls like a freight train! I love it!

Pardon my ignorance, but can map 3 be loaded as a one only and not coupled together with all 3 as a switching on the fly map set? I actually have zero desire to have 3 maps rollings around in there and, as I understand, I'd have to keep my V2 plugged in all the time or it would default back to map 1. My V2 is only pulled in for flashes and the odd data log.

No, I was actually wanting the same. I usually don't run my V1.2 after I know my tune is good and due to the heat/cold.
I usually run Map #3 as #1 so when I have the tuner out it's still on my "best" map and then I can step down to (2) other maps. Currently you'd have to set it up to Map #3 on your first flash but will revert to Map #1 with the KTuner out and have to select Map #3 every single start up. I tested it earlier and it kinda sucked!

I was hoping we may be able to but not currently. If you take your KTuner out right now it will run their #1 map as default which they call "valet" mode and is pretty factoryish!

Glad someone else was hoping for this feature!

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I am following this thread closely, as I am eager to purchase this tune for my KTuner V1.2 and sell my KTuner V2 w/ Vit Stage 1. Unfortunately, the feedback on the higher KControl values has me a little spooked at the moment. I did some testing on the Vit Stage 1 25 psi map, and even on a WOT pull, my KControl never hit .60. Maybe the TSP Stage 1 map is more aggressive and that's why? Not sure - I just want to make sure that everything is safe before purchasing.

Patiently waiting for them to email me the Hondata version of the map. Since the Hondata doesn't do on the fly map switching, I hope/assume the map uses the 3rd mapping from the ktuner version. I'll be comparing it to the +9 sport mode with scramble map from Hondata.

Always datalogging.....Usually have an average trip with regular stop & go traffic with bursts of acceleration & a really nice set of curves.
KControl started off at 0.74 this morning.

Just left the car on Map #3 was running beautifully coming up to full temp creeping through the neighborhood, shifting stood out like crazy this morning.
It's is so smooth & much better it's hard to describe. Even on Map #3, it's almost as if there is "shift padding" added while keeping an ultra responsive throttle. Absolutely no "bucking/lurching/choppiness" with this tune while trying to creep or do a slow/regular speed gear changes. The 19.5/23 map feels almost stock compared to this, really nice. I struggled sometimes with my hand & feet disabilities to get a proper slow speed shift without being smooth and this has helped me tremendously.

Partial throttle vacuum & boost are also tuned very smooth, driviability is phenomenal. I did see a little roughness with the A/C on but to be fair I didn't have it on long enough to give it a fair test, may need to learn that as well. Other than that it's great to have so much useable power, even more than the 19.5/23 tune in the low-mid range. You can drive regularly without even touching boost and still have power. Very enjoyable to drive something I don't have to wring out on ever pull to move.

Average boosting & another loud Mustang with his 4 week old window chalk from the track wanted a piece......slapped it in Sport and gave a few solid pulls in 2nd, 3rd, & into 4th through a very nice set of corners. The pull with Map #3 into & out of corners again is so so much better. Dampened when you need it and hitting like a freight train, your foot controls your boost.

Best part about this mornings run is even on Map #3 in Sport mode I was seeing KControl at 0.68!

I'd really like to see what I can do with some 93 octane. Trying to have some brought down this weekend unless VP can hook it up!

My car is really starting to like Map #3!

BTW - One of the best parts is while driving very aggressively and really testing the car with back to back pulls I'm still getting 29MPG average! I was sitting usually at 26-27 with the 19.5/23 maps! Pleasant unexpected surprise but I believe it is do to the more available/usable power down lower without having to boost. Also a very polished map.....wondering what it could do if I drove decent!
