I probably would get some 18s in the future but cheap wheels for track . And 200tw tires.

I've cracked 2 cast wheels during a track day and had to tow my car home and buy new wheels.
I've bent TE37s during different track days - was still able to drive home on them with a wobble. Had the wheels repaired by a local magician and tracked again on the same repaired wheels.
I think forged wheels are worth it for the abuse they go through - let alone the weight savings.
EITHER WAY - the lesson here is bring at least two spare wheels with you to the track! 😂

Hey, anybody here interested in the Trackdaze event at VIR, Oct. 30,31. Three hours track time each day if you are intermediate or above. Plus, Grand Course for the first day. It's one of the only chances at the grand course all year. $625. Not bad for 6 hours of track time!

I wish, but that's my kiddos birthday, and she wouldn't want to celebrate at the track 😂

Been lurking hard on this thread for a while, excited to say cooling mods are installed on my FL5 and my coilovers have shipped. Excited for my first Time Attack event in this car!

Either going to be Autobahn CC with Gridlife, or Pitrace with Gridlife.

Which mods did you go with? Will be interesting to see how they hold up 👍

The car initially will be fairly mild, but with a bit of power. I dont really want to part with my R660 turbo, so I will be running in the Street Mod class. I'm going to get spanked pretty badly by the top AWD/RWD cars, but i dont see why i cant get close to or beat the current FWD record times in that class.

I did just a HEL oil cooler and CSF radiator for cooling for now, As i really only ever do 1-2 flyer laps at a time anyways in a Time Attack setting.

the car has full bolt ons with an RV6 R660 Turbo and an XDI fuel system. I will be running an E40 blend which makes about 520whp on the street tune. I may actually detune it a bit for track use.

Brakes im just going to be running pads and fluids for now,and stock aero other than a project aero front lip.

Ill likely swap from the 18x9.5 square setup im running now to an Apex 18x11/9.5 stagger with a 285/255 RE71RS setup.

It wont be an optimal setup, but it should be a start!

Excited to hear how it goes. Cooling might not be enough with all that power, but it's a start. Didn't see an intercooler on your list.

SCCA will be at Pitt Race in September as well for TTN, but your car will be a Max2 car with the turbo.

What camber are we looking at here, roughly, if you don't mind me asking? Not a big fan of how some cars poke a bit with 10in width +40, but I noticed my front with -2.75 is quite sunk at 9.5in +45. In the pics it looks pretty flush.

This is roughly -3° front and -2.5° rear.

He's running the PRL FMIC if I recall correctly - that's definitely necessary lol.
Yep PRL intercooler, however i will be testing a new prototype intercooler and intake next week if all goes to plan :)
