Anyone here run Hondata/Phearable tune, I'm kinda curious about something for how I'm going to set up my car for the next track event. It seems like Hondata's TC map takes over as the dominant TC, unless you turn the Cruise Control on then it reverts to factory VSA supposedly.

So I'm just curious what modes or settings other people are using with Hondata... Like if I do the pedal dance will it still have Hondata TC active?

I was impressed with the car's brake vectoring shenanigans when I tried it in +R instead, but it's TC even with the long VSA press was really neutering it's power out of slow speed corners, so ideally I think I'd like to just set the car up to drive in a more natural pedal dance state... Or if the Hondata TC is better while in +R then that would probably be the fastest mode to be in... Would just be nice to have an idea what mode to use before I go lol, thanks anyone.

It does pull power out of slow corners to prevent wheel spin, which is a good thing. I pedal danced and hated it.

I'm fairly certain we're moving to a different state in 2025. Haven't picked a new home yet researching at the moment but have narrowed down to a few. Any suggested locations with the most tracks nearby? ?
Interesting approach - usually people move for a job then go from there ? .

Nashville isn't bad - NCM is 1hr, NSS has a few TNiA's a year and it's <1hr, and then Barber, AMP, and Road Atlanta are within 3-4hrs. But, for Gridlife and SCCA TT it's not great - everything will basically be 7+ hrs except 1-2 events this year (lots of stuff within 7-8hrs - VIR, CMP, CMS, Mid-Ohio, Pittrace, Gingerman, Autobahn, NOLA, and others).

Our winters aren't bad though, so that's nice.

We almost moved to Nashville at the beginning of the pandemic. My old employer was opening an office, and we toured several houses. Then I took a remote job instead and never thought about it again. We can move pretty much anywhere, although both of us are from the Midwest and it turns out we have a strong preference to remain here ?

I think I need to plot these tracks on a map and see if there are any other cities I'm missing. I completely forgot about Pitt and Mid-Ohio ?

The map helped. I realize this is not beneficial to anyone except me, but here it is anyway. Good to see lots of variety within an acceptable distance for a weekend event.

From Detroit: 10 tracks within 7-8 hours.
Road America
Blackhawk Farms
Autobahn CC
Gingerman
Grattan (I am not sure of its future for 2025?)
Mid-Ohio
Pitt Race
Summit Point
NCM Motorsports Park
Watkins Glen

From Chicago: 10 tracks within 7-8 hours.
Detroit list minus Watkins Glen, add Ozarks International Raceway

From DC: 8 tracks within 7-8 hours.

8 hours is about my max range as I drive there with the car. VIR is right on the border of that for me.

I am willing to do 8-10 hours once or twice a year. Any more than that is too much time away from the family. Having more than a couple of hour drive on Sunday evening means I am staying an extra night and driving home Monday.

All of these locations have 4 tracks within 4 hours, and 8 within 8 hours. That seems like a good mix.

yeah VIR when SCCA TT goes there, or hopefully with this group this year, and planning first time PittRace this year with SCCA. Kids are a bit older now, so don't need me as much, so I can get away for a little longer now

This is missing Dominion Raceway in Thornburg, VA and NCCAR in North Carolina.

Summit Point in West Virginia (just over the VA/MD Border) has three distinct circuits (Summit Main, Shenandoah, and Jefferson).

NJMP has two distinct circuits (Lightning and Thunderbolt)

Nelson Ledges is also missing in Ohio.

The DC area has a ton of track coverage and a lot of variety.

Also don't sleep on the PNW -- we shockingly have a ton of circuits in a 5 hour radius

1) Ridge
2) Pacific Raceways
3) Portland International
4) Oregon Raceway Park
5) Mission (Canada)
6) Vancouver Island (Canada)
7) Area27 (Canada)

Thanks! I also realized I forgot my local track Putnam park south of Indy ? I need to check out Nelson ledges maybe pair it up with a day at mid Ohio.

We looked at PWN but it makes us both nervous to be a flight away from family vs a drive. Seems dumb but we don't have to be logical ?

Yea, I definitely get that -- our family is between MD, VA, and FL...but with the amount of daily flights out of SeaTac that are direct between both Alaska and Delta -- you can get pretty far, pretty fast and easy.
