18s look better, are lighter and gain you sidewall. There's absolutely no reason to run 19s on this car.

Personally, I'm running 255/40R18s - with that change only, not only did the car ride nicer, but it also gained some athleticism due to the 8 lb weight loss per corner. After adding the DE5 damper module, it's downright luxurious on the highway.

I drive between 45 and 65 miles per day, depending on some factors. I wouldn't have my wheel/tire choice any other way.

Interesting take downsizing tires to a 255 and minimizing the contact patch. If I were to downsize to 18s, I’d go 265/35 or 275/35 on an 18x10 +40.

Moving from a 265 width to 255 width is peanuts, relatively. Mind you, the tire is a DWS06+...this is not a track setup, thus the added 10-20mm would only add rolling resistance and wouldn't be fully utilized on the street. This is a lightweight, daily setup that handles well in the dry, wet, cold, hot and snow, all of which I see. Seeing as my previous hot hatches were on no wider than 245s, this is still a step up from that in regards to contact patch. I thought about a 265/35 and even 265/40, but at the end of the day 255/40 gave me the height, sidewall and weight that I wanted. The car still grips and turns in athletically and looks fantastic.

I like the way 19s look on this car but I am running 18x10. The price for light 19" wheels and 19" tires is ridiculous.

Have any pics or Instagram? If I were to downsize to 18s, this is the wheel I would go with. Fully forged monoblock and I can pick exact width, offset, concavity, and finish I like. Basically a mix of Spoon and HRE.

Agreed, price is up there for 19s, but I am just used to running 19s since 2008, so used to the price of the tires. Have always used Michelin Pilot Super Sport or PS4S

18s also saves your lower back when you have to rotate or swap wheels for the season.

I run H&R and for the 1st week it was really stiff. It settled now and it is OEM+. With the 19s that you have with 275/35s, the fender gap will be eliminated and it will look absolutely perfect.

This is what 265/35/19 looks like lowered on Eibach Pro Kits. For me, the clearance is right on the edge of what I'd be comfortable with. I didn't have any issues but yours are slightly taller. FWIW I've seen some posts on Facebook with people running 275/35/19 while lowered and they say they don't have any issues.

I'd stick with 19s. 18s look wrong on this car.

This looks fantastic. A 10-15mm spacer and it’s perfect. Love the black too! Nice ride! I love the 19s as well.

It really does look great. Right now Pro-kit is winning, with H&R a close second. Do you know if you had to cut the bump stops for the H&Rs? Some say no and I’ve seen some people do it.

Didn't have to cut the stops!
