Where’d you get the loctite freeze and release? Never heard of it
I got it at a local shop, but I’m not from the US. I see it’s available on Amazon. It’s known also as loctite 8040.

The host of YouTube "Gears and Gasoline" replaced his turbo studs. Plenty of screeching noise as they were removed. He was lucky none broke.
I've spent hours repairing broken studs on other cars. Between chancing this and locked ECU's after tuning, I'm leaving mine stock. If I wanted quicker, I would have gotten a Mustang 5.0 instead.

Lmfao....hurdles modding any car. Rusty/stubborn exhausts and quirky electronics. Totally common and normal. But having something unique, you put together is worth it. Plus you gained knowledge, improving your skills.

Just because its a Honda does not make it any less worthy of making yours.

But you do you brother. No hate.

This happened on my 4900 mile de5, even after soaking. I hired one of my techs to extract and it took awhile to get it out( in chassis) without damaging any threads.

😭 which penetrating fluid did you use and how long did it soak? I’m hoping for the best at this point

Goddamn! Did you use an impact to try to remove the hardware or a breaker bar before the stud snapped?
I used a hand wrench and the nut got stuck about 3/4 way off. Had to cut the nut off and then tried to use a stud extractor on the stud and that is when it snapped.

Do not use an impact gun on the studs!
That’s interesting. I’ve heard on several YouTube videos that an impact is more effective than a breaker bar on these studs (less chance of breaking them).
