I’m going to install a TSP downpipe soon. I plan to soak it in penetrating oil overnight and I got some loctite freeze and release (penetrating oil with a freezing agent) to use just before removing it. Heard it works wonders on rusty exhaust studs. I‘ll use the double nut method.

May I ask why do you need to drop the trans on a fairly new car? I’m asking because mine just developed a slight knocking sound on overrun and I’m waiting for Honda to get back to me (it’s done just under 29,000 miles).
