Installed a BlendMount for my Uniden R8. No more suction cup to the windshield.
On the BlendMount site it says no compatible mounts available for the FL5. But one other thread here said the BR7-3017 worked so I gave it a shot. I searched for and ordered that specific model number on the BlendMount site as well as included a photo of my mirror as requested on their product page.
I also have the auto dimming Homelink mirror.

More Black Friday stuff came in. Installed the Acuity throttle pedal spacer, initially had it in position A as I just wanted the pedal closer to me. But after a short drive to pick up dinner it felt a little to close to me. lol. So moved it to position B. But it’s TNF, so I’ll see how it feels the next drive.
11th Gen Honda Civic Phenom3030’s Boost Blue Pearl CTR #22333 IMG_3803

Also picked up a Podium oil cap in satin red. Wanted to match the cover.
11th Gen Honda Civic Phenom3030’s Boost Blue Pearl CTR #22333 IMG_3795

And lastly, this wasn’t a Black Friday purchase but more an impulse buy and BF regret-not-buying purchase. Used my Two Step GovX military discount and a nice credit card offer for statement credit to get the PRL titanium turbo inlet pipe kit.
Initially wasn’t going to go deep on parts but after buying all the exhaust stuff (downpipe, front pipe, and exhaust), went down the rabbit hole and thought might as well do all the stuff on the intake side too. lol. Also found out PRL discontinued the inlet pipe kit for the stock airbox but caught wind here on the forums that Two Step had a number of them left. I don’t plan on getting an intake since I have the Spoon filter and didn’t want the FOMO on the remaining inlet pipe kits Two Step had so I had to get it right? 😂
Installed it with Two Steps titanium inlet pipe stud kit.

Now I’m just waiting on a good opportunity to pick up a PRL intercooler. If I didn’t end up going down the rabbit hole AFTER Black Friday and thought it through more, I would have ordered everything during the Black Friday sales. Live and learn.

Bolted on a Sayber Designs front lip. Had a hell of a time getting the bumper on and off. Not sure what I did but all the underside pop clip holes don’t line back up.
Got the screws in the fender wells and the top pop clips back in.
Might have to take it to a shop to get the bumper put back on properly. I think it’ll hold for now, feels pretty sturdy.

Hey man that lip you need to take the bumper to install it? How it installed on the OEM clips or need to drill holes like the varis and all those? Look nice regardless!

Thanks dude! Wish they made more for the FL5. I did take the bumper off to install it. There aren't any pre-drilled holes on it, so you do have to drill holes in the lip and the bumper. Or more like the black under part of the bumper. None of the holes I drilled are in the blue painted parts under the bumper.

Okay, so basically, the garage is pretty unique. I don’t think there are that many options. I started to really like the Mugen, but mine is Boost Blue, and I’m still debating it. On the FK8, they did the color match, but now it’s just black, and the front lip doesn’t look right without the rest of the kit.

I’m in the same boat with the exhaust. I really like the Blitz, and Two Step Performance can get it for me, but the wait time is probably going to be ridiculous. So now I’m leaning toward Hybrid Racing. Even if I lose the triple tips, the wait is likely shorter, and I might be able to make more adjustments to the tips than I could with the Blitz.

Still debating, but that’s where I’m at right now! Is really frustrating 😂 but first word problems!

My Hybrid Racing Formula exhaust is on its way finally, after purchasing it the week of Black Friday. I actually wanted to go to dual tips. It should be here Saturday.
The PRL front pipe arrived quickly and the 27Won downpipe got here Monday. Not looking forward to installing them in the garage via jack stands.

I might just go with the Hybrid Racing setup but keep the OEM valve. The only performance upgrades I plan on doing are that and a drop-in filter 😂. Everything else will stay stock for now till I decide. I drive mine daily, so I don’t want anything too fancy that could get messed up on the highway or something.

That's what I said too. Just had the Spoon air clear and Phearable Stage 2 tune. Then Black Friday got me! lol. I daily mine as long as the temp is above 35*.

Started my full exhaust install this morning. Got the 27Won downpipe, titanium exhaust studs kit from turbo to downpipe, and PRL front pipe installed. As well as a PRL RMM I’ve had for a long time and just now getting around to putting it in. Hybrid Racing Formula exhaust is supposed to be delivered today. Still not here yet.

And I’ve got one extra bolt I can’t figure out where it goes! I retraced my steps on the 27Won downpipe install instructions and can’t remember where this one came from. I’ve got the two bolts installed that look like this that mount the harness to the inlet pipe. Can someone please point me in the right direction!? 🙏🏽

Finally finished installing the exhaust. Rubber hangers are a pain to deal with. I opted to go with Hybrid’s controller for the exhaust valve. Don’t know what it sounds like yet. Afraid to start and run the engine until I get an updated tune.
oh and figured out where that extra bolt went. It was one of the bolts for the under tray. Can proudly say I reinstalled everything without any extra bolts or clips leftover. lol.

That’s what I expected from an exhaust. I don’t know why it’s so hard for companies to make something that can sit flush with the bumper as it should! It looks nice and not ricer at all. Otherwise, you’d expect to pay $2k or more to have the tips of the exhaust protruding three feet from the bumper, and then they get mad when called out.

You’ve convinced me to get the burnt tip. It doesn’t look bad with Boost Blue and is definitely one of the exhausts that looks amazing. I hope to hear your honest opinion on how it sounds. I know you installed the downpipe and the whole nine yards, but I’ll be going with just the exhaust. It definitely looks pretty nice, and you’ve convinced me about the route I’m taking with mine.

I wanted the burnt tip to go with the boost blue. It's interesting when I was getting ready to reinstall the rear undertray, I was looking at the tips directly and the left one was definitely blue ringed, while the right one looked purple. Kinda cool, maybe just the way the sun was hitting it.

Jester was so nice as to get me squared away with a base map so that I could drive it today.

Initial impression is it is definitely louder than my stock exhaust with the rear resonator removed. I used the Hybrid fob to quickly test the sound with the valve open and closed while standing at the rear. It does seem to quiet the exhaust a bit with the valve closed. Perfect for when I'm leaving for work early in the morning. Don't want my neighbors to hate me. lol. More to follow on my thoughts after I give it some miles.

And right on man! Glad I could help. Thats what I appreciate about the forums, so much knowledge and experience to share and gain. The good thing about the Hybrid exhaust is it comes with two short pipes that connect the front pipe to the rest of the exhaust. One for the the OEM front pipe and one 3" pipe if you have an aftermarket front pipe. With the appropriate gaskets for each choice.

Yes, I will definitely talk with Jester for my tune, even though my only modifications are going to be the drop-in filter and just the catback. The rest of the stuff will be lowering springs, wheels, and a spoiler—asterisks because there are a lot of options out there, but the ones I like are expensive. I just can’t really handle the wait time, but that’s another story 🤣! The same goes for front lips and all that.

I just consume the forum like the old days because I think people put a little more effort into sharing information back then. On YouTube, it’s rare to find people like Point by Patrol, who install parts and share their knowledge on a certain platform without trying to sell you the product—just being honest about how the part really works.

A tune will really wake it up. I only had the Spoon air cleaner when I went with the phearable stage 2 tune.
Then Black Friday happened and I hadn’t spent money on the CTR in a long time so I went with the inlet pipe, down pipe, front pipe, and exhaust. lol. Figured do as much as I can at one time. My next planned mod is an intercooler. Gonna wait for another sale for that one.
I really want the Voltex swan neck wing but that’s a big purchase and a long wait.

and agree, I just started frequenting the forum more often these last couple months. It’s a better place to research and share info.
