I’ve been wanting to go to that track it’s about 6 hours from me though. How do you like it? Is it worth a 6+ hour drive?

1000% worth a visit. Its super challenging but rewarding putting in a fast time there.

Nice Lap! How do the Nankang tires look on the 9.5" wheel? Somebody at the track mentioned those tires run wide for their size so he might be putting 255 on instead.

They look fine. Doesn’t seem to bubble. I believe Ben also looked at the tires and he didn’t mention anything.

Nice lap though! I've never driven VIR full, but that seems like a pretty good time for stock, and (imo) those RT660's aren't exactly peak 200tw either!

There was a stock auto EN that did a 2:10.1 on v730s, so they are definitely close

Thanks! I got the tires when I planned on just doing HPDE and no TT. They've been great for that but I think they're about done. They have 5 or 6 two day events on them now and a few autocrosses. Oddly enough they seem fine in the faster sections but any 3rd gear turn with a decent amount of steering angle I'm having a hard time getting the front to bite. I know I'm overdriving the slow stuff but I'm hopeful that some stickier rubber will help with that.

Game plan is to finish out the year on the RT660 and then in the spring get some sticky stuff to help close the gap. Losing to a Hyundai hurts my soul.

? haha that's fair. I have only been doing a couple of events per year with the Civic so I'm halfway done. I did however just fill out some paper work so I can race the Miata next month. So it won't be as fast as the Type R but at least I'll get to bang some doors.
