thanks for this.

meanwhile you have companies *cough ICB Cough* charging tarrifs on parts theyve had in stock for YEARS
This is the reason why I didn't order a set of wheels from them. 😂

This was the reason why I didn't
It looks like as of today, there is finally cheaper shipping on rims from Black Hawk. If was always $600+ before, today there is LA or NY ports for $300!
I'm curious to see how this works. Do you need to hire a broker when the item arrives to port and pay the fees? or does the broker takes care of all of that and arranges shipping to you?

Based on their description, I would assume that you’d need a broker. I did sea shipping through an importer and they handled the broker/customs process. It takes forever, but if you’re a patient person, you can save a lot of money.

Just wanted to give a quick update. Nengun now has prepaid duties & taxes factored in for orders.

I received an invoice from UPS yesterday with a 50% tariff. If you received an invoice make sure you double check what Tariff code is being used. In my case they put me down for iron and steel on an FRP part from Blackhawk. Chances are, Blackhawk gave them the wrong code. I am working on fixing this.

Still waiting on UPS, Blackhawk sent emails for adjustment but apparently UPS has a year back log
How long did it take your items to arrive? Wonder if i should try another shipping service even tho UPS is the cheapest

i ordered mugen mirrors from blackhawk about 2 months ago and here was my experience.

Initial order placed and then took about 10ish days for them to ship out
once shipped, it took about 3 days for it to reach customs
I then received an email from the shipping company to pay additional fees (tariffs) to release the package for final delivery.
For the mugen mirrors, it was about $50ish to release - additional 5-6 days for final delivery since it came in through the west coast.

Total delivery time was about 2.5-3 weeks from when I placed the order.

Which shipping company did you use?

Has anyone ordered brake pads thru blackhawkjapan? are they taxed properly via ups, or is it a giant pain in the ass?

Not through Blackhawk, but I did order Dixcel's M Type low dust pads direct from them. Shipping was free, but I did have to pay an import fee since they were shipped from Canada. The fee was $32.39 and included an additional $12 fee if you paid later like day of the delivery, I paid early so it was only $20.39 without the additional $12.

ah fascinating. good to know! i may use dixcel for street pads. I'm sort of a die hard endless pad guy so I was hoping to continue using blackhawkjapan to get endless pads for the 2026 track season... and googling shows some folks are being hit with 50% (!!!) tariffs
