Hey folks! I wanted to let everybody know that our Performance Intercooler Kit for the FL5 Civic Type R is NOW ON PRE-SALE!

The brass tacks on this one:
  • Dyno-proven gains of up to 10 horsepower and 9 lb-ft of torque
  • Retained 12 horsepower more than stock after six back-to-back heat-soak runs
  • Designed to support builds up to 600 horsepower
  • Reduces peak air intake temperatures by up to 57 degrees compared to stock
  • Larger 2.5" ID piping compared to the stock 2.25" ID
  • Multiple color configurations available
If you want to get into the nitty-gritty, I highly recommend you check out our Engineering Report to learn more about the R&D process that went into this.

We're looking forward to seeing this on builds out in the wild!

Great to see another intercooler available for the FL5. And thanks for sharing the data. I'm struggling with these statements from the product page:

Installation is straightforward with a plug-and-play design that includes all necessary pipes, couplers, and hardware. The kit works seamlessly with stock ducting and requires no cutting, while cast pipes are optimized for maximum airflow in the tight FL5 engine bay.

How can this be billed as "plug-and-play" and "requires no cutting" when steps 25 and 26 of the installation guide require cutting the ambient sensor bracket and drilling a hole in the bumper trim piece? This is misleading at best and something else at worst. I suggest recalibrating the language on the product page to better align with the installation guide.

Well, I tried downloading your Product Page to my Samsung Tab 10 tablet, and upon attempting to open the file, flibbin M!crosoft "Wun" Drive got in my face and took control of my non M!crosoft tablet, and won't let me see the product page.
I cannot open the Mishimoto product page... and I cannot UNinstall "Wun" Drive.
I bought a S*msung tablet, not a Surface tablet.

Not your fault, Mishimoto.
For a Gen X Boomer like me who can't keep up with the ever evolving new fangled tech, this is just frustrating.

Hot take here.
S*msung IS the new A&&le, and also likes to get bent over by M!crosoft.
S*msung used to compete. Now it just bends the knee.

I just want to see the Mishimoto product page without my tablet bending the knee to outside corporations without my authoritaih.

Is there a Website link?

Please excuse the rant.
Yes, I am interested in learning learning more about your products.
I am just frustrated with this s!mp c#ck tech I have to endure in order to use the web these days.

Why? Just why?

Please and Thanks.

Why is this a real timeline?
S*msung used to compete.
Now it just opens its mouth and bunghole at the same time ready for maximum intake into both ends.

Well, I just got finished "toning down" my post, but not before you responded to it.
So, Cheers to you, @apl360 for keeping it alive!
I felt like I should tone it down in order to stay on the topic of Mishimoto, so I did.
Thanks for helping keepin it real, though.

Mishimoto about to have a rude awakening tomorrow. Whoops!

Love you Mishimoto!
(Now I probably owe y'all some transactions.) Talk to me!

Cheers.

Hi.

I checked found the Web Link at the top of your post (that was right under my nose, whoops).
So, I can download the Engineering Report, as well as other documents from the Mishimoto website, but I can't open them in my Android tablet.

Guess I gotta go find me a "Reader" app for this tablet.

In the mean time, I have a couple questions (that are probably answered in the documentation, that I have on my tablet, but am unable to open).

1). The 30 Pound weight of the Intercooler kit. Is this just the weight of the intercooler itself, or is this the weight of the entire kit?

2.) The 57 degree temperature reduction from stock temps. I presume this is degrees Fahrenheit. How does the Mishimoto Intercooler kit accomplish this task, and how does one go about measuring and recording the differences in temps?

Please forgive me and my...

Frustrations and Lamentations of a Boomer Noob.

Thanks.

Hey @Clark_Kent - You're absolutely right. This was definitely an error on our part. I've flagged this and the product page should be updated soon, thank you for calling this out.

Hey @Sporky McGeuschky - Sorry to hear you're having troubles with your tablet! I don't know if this will work on your end, but I went ahead and converted each page of the Engineering Report PDF to JPG pictures so I could share them directly with you here. Hopefully you can see these ones!

1) The 30lbs weight is just for the intercooler. The kit as a whole weighs 38lbs.
2) The Engineering Report should address this, but let me know if you have any further questions!

Hi Josh,
Thanks for posting these pages of the report! You didn't have to do that just for me. I appreciate it. Once I get around to dusting off the ole Windows 10 laptop I should have no problem opening the files from the Mishimoto site... just haven't done that yet.

Yeah, this is helpful. Looks pretty impressive to me.

Thanks again.

Is there a way to order it without the logo sprayed on it?
...Or maybe just a Mishimoto " M " logo in the middle?

Also, different color " M " logos, perhaps?
Black, Silver, White, ... Type R Red ...?
