Hey group! In desperate need for some advice. So I just got this this milltek exhaust but I went with non resonated and now i think it’s just too loud and kind of obnoxious IMO, especially on the freeways and feel like there is drone especially when the valves are open. I don’t hate the sound but I dont love it either. However I would like to try the resonated very soon. Just fyi, I do have a tsp catted dp so I know it makes it louder. However, what can I do to replace this? I literally just bought and installed this a couple days ago and as stated would like to try the resonated and should have listened to michael baxi (gridzilla) as he was right about going with the non res being a mistake. Mind you I’m in my mid 30s with a newborn ha so I’m in a different demo. Should I just sell it or go back to TSP (two step performance) where I bought this from and get a replacement or is it easy enough to get the resonated piece to this system. Sorry for all the dumb questions but I’m new into modifying cars. Any guidance will help! Thanks!!
Just hit a local performance or muffler shop and have them weld in a resonator, no biggie.

what did you end up doing? Milltek will sell the resonator separately that will replace the straight pipe.

Sorry bud for the super late response but I did, I just had to purchase the resonated piece from tsp / milltek which was a few hundred bucks like you said. it sounds so much better imo. I’m not in love with the exhaust sound still being on it for over a year now but it’s way better and more livable than the non resonated again imo. The non resonated was just way too loud in highways and had too much drone and was loud just to loud sake
with no distinctive characteristics to the sound. However, it sounded great going slow ha! Have to pick your poison I guess. but it’s wayyyy better than stock. I will probably look at something that is more throaty and some more personality with limited pops and bangs such as the Acura ITS exhaust system.

Heads up, the ITS pops/bangs are from the tune and not from the exhaust itself. Hondata allows you to mimic this on the FL5, if desired.

Milltek is selling a new model for our FL5, SKU: SSXHO320, the Resonated Valved Catback, which is approved in the European Union as a replacement part. In my country, after four years from the date of purchase of a new car, a strict technical inspection must be carried out every two years, during which no significant modifications to the vehicle are permitted.

This new Milltek part solves the problem, as it allows you to drive legally while providing a slight increase in sound compared to the original FL5.

https://www.millteksport.com/Resonated_Valved_Catback_with_Polished_Tips--product--6931.html

Its price, however, is exorbitant: €3,400 through their official distributor, including taxes and, in my case, the remote valve opening and closing device. I'll share a video (Cold Start with valve open, alternating between open and closed).

Since it is a certified product, don't expect a dramatic improvement.
