Just found this thread, have you found the solution ? I've started experiencing that exact noise in the video. It seems to be coming from both rear wheels. I have 8500 miles, stock, just the occasional pulls but its my daily driver. Not going the dealer route based on your experience. I'm going to try putting new rear pads and see if it helps. I'll update here soon.

For my case at least, I have narrowed it down to excessive brake dust causing the squeal. Using brake cleaner and "de-squeak" from CRC fixes the problem for a few days, and then it comes back.

Also don't wash the car when the brakes are still hot. Made that mistake once, and brakes started squealing immediately. Don't sit on the brakes at a stoplight too, they get extremely hot in places with excessive heat, and sitting on them for longer periods of time may cause the uneven deposition of brake dust on the rotors. I guess it worked for me when I was in Maine, but in hot and dry Arizona, I have to wait longer to clean it and need to be more careful.

If its a high metal to metal type of screeching from your wheels/brake only goes away when you com to a full stop. Odds are there’s a rack/pebble stuck between your rotor and dust shield. I would start there first since it’s the easiest solution to try first without going to the dealer. Grab a long screwdriver and push the dust shield back top, right & bottom on all four wheels and see if any rocks or pebbles fall out then go for a short drive. If that doesn’t fix it it could be bad brake pads, or lastly rare but possible a bad wheel bearing. If you have stock tires, when they get up to temp they get really sticky and kick up all type of debris and get caught between the dust shield. This was always a thing for me owing the FK8 for 6 yrs. And now just happened to me today with the FL5 this morning, sure enough i wigged all the dust shields back a bit and one small rock fell out of the passenger rear shield.

Sounds like this is an issue for everyone, for my specific situation they have replaced rotors and pads, wheel bearings on both rear wheels and nothing can rid me of that stupid squealing noise. It’s like a freakin bird chirping 1000% percent sure it isn’t a rock or pebble, that noise would be constant, my issues is only sub 20 mph and is a chirp chirp chirp noise.

This is exactly the same issue I have faced. I have always maintained that this isn't rocks getting stuck in, that's a separate issue. Anyone looking for possible causes/remedies can look at my messages in this thread, hopefully it helps.

You have a rock stuck behind your rotor and/or dust shield that sits right behind it. This just happened to me (2nd time) on the way home from grabbing groceries with my son. Go out and get your hands on the shielding and pull on it and let it vibrate, kind of like plucking a guitar string. This is typically all it takes to knock the rock loose. Its pretty jarring when it happens and quite frankly if it didn't happen to me before (my first day driving it home from the dealership) I would def be freaked out as well. Turn the wheel if you need more access. You can always use a stick or focused high pressure water as well. Good luck

Or, if you’re lazy like me, you can turn into a parking lot and drive in reverse while turning the steering wheel back and forth. This can also make for a good conversation starter😂

I’ve got the same issue, 10k miles, only at low speed and very annoying when going through a drive thru.

Same , I have a low speed squeak only off throttle , I had the exact same issue with my Integra type s only it’s a little louder with the fl5. I am starting to think it’s the waste gate . Anyone else ?

also want to add it’s not a rock stuck as I know that sound all to well and I heard right when I picked the car up pulling off the lot with only 5 miles on it .

After leaving my car at the dealership for a few days, they were unable to fix the squeaking. They looked over the brakes, pads, etc. Now they are blaming the squeaking on the H&R sport springs. Ugh. I don't see how the wheel squeaking (which changes in frequency according to the speed / wheel rotation) is related to suspension/springs.

Great... now I need to take it to a shop to revert back to the stock springs.

One new piece of data I found out (before I sent it back to the dealership) is that the wheel squeaking only seems to happen after driving around for a little while. It never squeaks when I first leave the house. Only after driving for 15+ minutes, and then I can hear the squeaking, and I only hear it lower speeds. Almost like something heats up and then the squeaking starts?
I have the same Squeaking on my de5

I started moticing this as well whenever I changed my brakes to CSG pads. I also had installed Hankook RS4s too but this noise still is there ecen when I use the stock wheels and tires.

Ive driven the card pretty hard on the track (so hard that I melted the paint on my rear calipers) and had no issues so I really wouldn't pay much attention to it

I've had a few rocks in the dust shields so I know what that's like. After changing front and rear pads and having the rear rotors resurfaced I now have the low speed squeak/ chirp sound. Usually only get it up until the first time I hit 25-30 mph then it's gone for the rest of the ride even when I'm at low speed. One exception to that is if I reverse into a parking spot at the end of my ride it comes back. Thought it was something with the new pads breaking in and the rotors adjusting but it's been about 3 months now and still just as loud and prevalent as ever.
