Anyone have any good leads on a nice key fob cover for FL5? I know our fob is used on a couple different models but wanted to make sure I was getting the right cover. Thanks guys in advance.

I have the Mugen branded version of this carbon fiber shell (I’m positive it’s not Mugen official) and it absolutely destroys the range of my fob. Enough that I’ll probably stop using it. Have you had any issues with your carbon fiber cover?

100% does, didn't really pay attention tbh honest until I saw your comment, so thanks! lol. Not sure what I'm going to do with it now. I love the looks of it, but it absolutely wrecks the remote functionality.

Nice! I clicked your link, but Amazon says they don’t fit 2023 Civic. I assume just ignore Amazon’s warning? Same key fob as 2022 Civic right?

Yeah just ignore it. It fits fine and the buttons (that do work) work. I haven't tested to see if there's any effect on range but for the cost, I'm totally fine with it. Worst case scenario, they protect the secondary key from scratches while in storage.

Yeah, I’m always worried about dropping my keys and/or scratching up the fob on other things in my pocket. The fob is really a dumb design in terms of durability. The side with the big, shiny, convex, Honda logo just begs to get destroyed from day 1. Ordered those silicone covers. Thanks!

The clear acrylic side with the H logo is already scratched really bad on both my fobs. They were that way when I got them from the dealer. My PPF guy is gonna try to polish them when I take it in next week. He said he may try to custom a piece of PPF for them. I’ll still use the covers though. Help with drops.

LOL - putting PPF on your key fob is next level! You gonna ceramic coat it too?
