Anyone know of a good footrest cover?
I’m around 3000 miles or so and am starting to see that area get dirty. I have the high wall mats but they don’t cover it. I’ve seen the carpet ones on YouTube but seems like a Japan only thing.

Though I haven’t done this myself, I like the idea of simply fitting a piece of black floor mat material over the foot rest area, so it matches the black high wall mats. I’m sure someone could come up with a clever way to attach it to the foot rest area too. Just throwing this idea out there as someone might have some good sewing skills or knows someone who could easily do it. Heck, if someone were to make something like this and sell it, I’d buy one (assuming it works well).

This guy named Mat out of Poland makes these, and they look great—I got one for my DE5, and now have one in my FL5: https://www.etsy.com/listing/151103...075030711941e39cfdbda9fd1620250e53:1511031971

They attach using heavy duty tape (included) and can even be applied on top of TuxMats.

Part of the wear and tear. : )
I’m not super concerned, personally. The carpet is cleanable. But…like the OP, if there’s a simple and nice looking solution that saves me time and energy later, I’m in.

I’ve seen that. It doesn’t protect the red carpet though. That’s the thing the OP is looking for (and I’d be interested in too).

I’m picky and don’t like that the Type R logo isn’t correct on the Etsy foot rest, but it is a cool looking piece.

It’s technically the FD2 logo, but I’m not stressing the difference in this application. I’m designing some custom pieces for my FL5 and was almost convinced I was the only one stressing the subtle differences between each of the logos.

For carpet protection, nothing is going to beat TuxMats… but you won’t see any red carpeting whatsoever. I don’t mind covering the carpet, but some like it. ?‍♂
