4th of July festivities and the rain and flooding near where I'm at, it wasn't a priority. Once it's dried out a little, I'll try to remember...

Got mine installed tonight, yeah an hour is good, I just took my time and double checked everything.

The rear mount hole doesn't line up for mine either and no rubber gasket for the top... so I guess that's just the way it is. I'll cut a piece of rubber tubing and rubber cement it in place. It's less expensive than the PRL and K&N offers dyno results so that's pretty cool. I could tell right away it has a bit more power.

Correct, there is no pinchstrip for the top of the box, so i just bought some from a rubber shop and pressed it on. No big deal. Rear mount hole was a tight fit but i managed to get the bolt through it and lock it in place.

So any reason not to go with this K&N from a trusted name and cost standpoint vs others out there? I actually waited for this one to come out for sometime… So I think I may pull the trigger.

No reason not to! Looks and sounds amazing, easy install and filter comes off without too much fuss when you need to clean it.

Considering getting this but would prefer a dry flow. What is the cone dimensions. I have a few stock s2000 air filters wonder if they'll fit.

I don't think an s2000 filter would fit. The length would already be pushing it and the mounting flange of the s2000 filter is a few inches smaller than the k&n filter that comes with this kit.

K&n does sell a dryflow version of this filter but it's pretty pricey at $146.99

Just got mine installed today. Everything went good except for installing the filter. I thought it could be installed last as that is how the instructions have it. But I ended up having to remove the filter adapter and install the filter onto the adapter before installing the adapter back into the box.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong? Any tips? Intake sounds great and fuel trims have been good so far!

Dope, I'm considering the other open intake available for us from 27won. How's the sound?

Sound is fantastic! I was also considering the 27WON because of the Dry filter and the open design as. But after looking at the instructions of the 27WON, there is a lot going on. Plus I don't think you can service the filter without disassembling the entire intake as the filter presses against the ECU.

K&N also sells a Dryflow variant of their filter - RP-3134HBK

I was worried about the MAF scaling with the K&N intake, but so far so good. LTFT at -0.78 after a 15 minute drive. With the AFE intake LTFT would be +5 or more after 5 minutes.
