First impressions on the slow 5 min drive back to my office from the workshop. Extremely positive.

It's slightly louder than what I expected, but not in a bad way at all. It's not harsh, it's deep and smooth, and "powerful" if you know what I mean. Not raspy at all. Purposeful.
Unless I was mistaken on the short drive, I feel like a definitely heard some crackles on decel too, (mild) which is a fun and unexpected result. More to come on this.

My drive home later is about an hour, with 75% of it being on the freeway at 100/110kph +, so this will be key for a report on droning.
Quality wise; I got to have a good look at the whole system as it came out of the (excellent) packaging. And it's a work of art, from front to back.
Twin tips, for me was a real winner, as I have never liked the triple tip stock exhaust. I know that puts me in the minority, but I just don't like it. A little too immature for my taste and not as purposeful looking. I'm also free of the exhaust valve now. Old school.

More to come tomorrow if anyone's interested. There's so little Australian specific info / reviews on upgrades for our CTR's, I'll do what little I can to give unbiased reports on the mods as they happen. So far, so good on this one, despite the insane price-tag.

looks like you are really enjoying your CTR. The Remark looks like a great choice. What else is on the cards in the coming future? I’m going to be taking my to get full body PPF straight away, so many mixed reviews about it, people either love it or hate it so we will see

PPF is probably the best decision you can make if you can afford it. I already got paint chips on my front bumper and always kick myself on not getting it ppf'd straight away

How is it feeling, butt dyno?
Butt dyno says "+ a little something". It's a bit early to say for sure, as I drove home in after-work traffic, there wasn't an opportunity for a full butt-dyno run :)
No droning. It's obviously louder on the freeway, but no drone.
The car feels different though, for sure. more than I expected. Rowdier in a good way. The difference being able to hear the sound the engine makes is huge.
Stock, it is unbelievably quiet, which can make things like pulling away from the lights in 1st etc more difficult than it should be. The exhaust has unexpectedly resolved that. Honestly, compared to every competitor, the Type R is the worst sounding (stock) by a mile in my opinion. This is 100% sorted now. and I've turned the horrible fake sound off.
100% happy, but broke.

I really am.
Next up (nothing decided for sure) but this is very likely...

I'm also giving some thought to an upgraded intercooler, although I'm iffy on the benefits at relatively low, sustained power outputs, and wary of it's impact, if any, on the cooling system by blocking more of the rad. More research required by me on this one.

I'm all about getting bulk air in, and out, of the engine, as much as I can before a tune is necessary. Example, I have not done a dump pipe direct from turbo outlet, because that is the line, after which a tune is necessary. A tune is likely to happen eventually, but I'd like to hold-off on that for as long as possible. Maybe never.. ?

I'm also thinking about dropping a wheel size to 18 inch. To facilitate stickier tyres and a slightly taller sidewall.
Probably Volk TE37. In an 18x10 inch. (Std size is 19x9.5)

Looks great! how'd you find the install process?
Really straight-forward actually. I had no problems with it at all.
Although this may be because I paid someone who has done quite a few on FL5's previously, to do it for me; while I was at work..... ;) 👍

hahahah fair enough! Would've been awesome to come back to hear those turbo whooshes. I'll tell you though, fuel economy is no more since all you want to do is spool up the turbo now XD
