I need a how to on locking the door with the physical key.. lol

So I started my car and go to lock it so that the snow will melt before I go home from work and I cannot get the key to turn in the lock with the physical key. Is there a trick to this?

I feel like a moron asking but I never had any problems when I did this when I had a FK8..

I know I have to open the door handle but once putting the key into the lock it just wont turn left or right or I am just not turning it hard enough??

In theory you just open the door handle and use the key to lock/unlock - will try again tomorrow and see if itll turn.

All I want to do is lock the door so I can have the car warm up / melt snow and not allow someone to drive off with it.

IF the car is running, you might not be able to lock the door.

But who could leave with the car if the fob is not in the car? Won't work, no?

I tested it today and it works fine. I dont know what I was doing wrong but I was able to lock and unlock the car with the key lol. SMH
