If you read the first post in the thread it will give you a rough idea of the process. I also wrote a guide for installing it if you only have a desktop:
https://www.civicx.com/threads/flashing-a-hondata-tune-with-a-desktop-a-guide.24593/

Once you get the hang of it, the install is quite easy. If you're running a basically stock setup the base tunes are all you need. A pro tuner can get more out of it, of course, but it will cost some extra $$$.
My thoughts exactly.

This tune has so much more power than stock. Today a guy in a V6 Camry was tailgating me. The highway was marked 60 and I was doing 70. He finally passed me and I saw there was no traffic ahead. He was doing maybe 80. So, I feathered the throttle and caught up to him quickly with no effort. With absolutely no cars ahead I put my foot into it and zoomed past him in a flash. When he was a tiny speck I slowed down and cruised home. The tune makes driving the car so much more fun.

I have a feeling that I will be eating up the tread on these current set of tires. I could feel the over spin when I floored it in 2nd and 3rd gears

Also noticed that after setting the econ button for stock, it really isn't back to full stock. I can feel the difference because of how far my gas peddle has to travel. It's travels more than when I didn't have the FP installed. It's like in between the original stock and original econ stock tune before FP if that makes any sense.

I talked to Doug about just that. Basically, the Hondata mode works like this...

Don't press the Econ button and you have the full Hondata tune. Press the Econ button and what you get is the stock tune with the reduced throttle response of stock Econ mode. Honestly I never use it. I actually call Hondata Mode "Dealer Mode" because I only use it when I take it to a dealer for service. ;) I guess once in a while it's not a bad idea to use it just to go easy on the car.

You probably should be returning the ECU to stock before bringing it to a "stealership" service appointment. Also would recommend removing Honda Hack if you have that in there as well. Only takes a few minutes to have the peace of mind.

Yeah, don't think I will be using Econ mode much. Throttle response is horrible and maybe only good for long highway driving or going to dealer like you mentioned.

Haven't had any issues at all. Leaving it in Econ seems to do the trick. Now this is for routine maintenance. Warranty work might be a bit different.

If Honda issues a "high priority" update to the ECU or ICE and they happen to have your car in for service, there is a fair chance they will run the update. Better safe than sorry IMHO.

Are you referring to a custome tune +6 vs the base map +6? If so, usually how much difference will you gain per se can you give a number for estimate? And btw when I said stock, I was only referring to motor, I probably will do upgrade the intake and exhaust systems.

This is with the +6 base map tune from flash pro? What was the gain like by only doing this?

Per Hondata - +49hp and +79tq.

Yes I'm using a base tune. My only "mod" to the intake is a free flowing afe aftermarket filter. You will make some smallish gains with an intake and exhaust but nothing like the difference from adding a tune to a stock setup. It's by far the best bang for the buck.

As far as power increase, I think Jason misspoke in the video. The numbers I know for the +6 with 91 octane are:

+25 hp and +35 lb/ft torque over stock with a CVT in the base models
+23 hp and +50 lb/ft torque over stock with the manual trans.

I run 93 octane and according to Doug (Hondata co-founder) I might be putting out another 5 or so hp.

Keep in mind the 1.5 in the base models is underrated by Honda. I think it actually puts out around 190hp stock. I figure with the base +6 tune running 93 octane, I'm peaking at about 220hp. Plenty enough for me in a 2900 lb. car. You also can raise the boost and torque numbers on the base tunes but you should know what you are doing before attempting anything. Too much torque and the CVT is toast.

Thank you! I would probably just go base +6 and just add the intake and exhaust upgrade.

That might reach 225-230hp? I will be happy with that!

Next thing is suspension upgrade? Because currently without the flash tune, I am experiencing oversteer/understeer when making a turn? Whats best route to fix or reduce it?

How about sound? Its just seem to quiet, but I don't want loud one either, just want to hear something, any suggestions please.

It's understeer and body roll. Start with tires and upgrade to a larger rear sway bar for starters. That's a very good starting point.
Understood the sway bar. What about tires, what to do with it?
