Hatch Rattle, Seat Creaks, Door Rattles and More

I recently traded in my 2024 Si for 2024 Type R, and I noticed a lot more rattles in the Type R, despite being assembled in Japan.

There are a couple of rattles I’ve noticed, but the most annoying one seems to be when I close the hatch. It sounds like something is loose and rattles. Not sure what it is, taillight, spoiler, broken clip inside? I can confirm it is not the license plate. Is anyone else experiencing this?

The door cables also seem to rattle when I’ve the music playing with volume > 22. It’s really faint and something I can forgive.

The seats also seem to creak once in a while and when it does, you cannot ignore it.

There also seems to be some rattle behind the steering wheel (not the infotainment rattle), but again I can ignore this.

Is anyone else experiencing this, especially the rattle when closing the hatch?

I have the hatch one and I was going to take apart panels to figure it out but have not

I’m sure it’s just a wire that needs cushioning

I have a slight rattle somewhere in the dash that seemed to come in after 8-10k miles on the clock. Other than that I do not have any of the other rattles that you have described.

I am thinking the same, hopefully it’s just the cables. My other suspicion was that it’s the taillight/spoiler that rattles when you close the hatch

Thanks for intel.... I am still under under warranty, but on the other hand I'm not too keen on dealership techs taking the dash apart...

You play music >22? That seems crazy to me, don't think I have been over 12, and that is only with the windows down, haha.

Haha yeah I listen pretty loud. Sometimes even at 30, that’s the max though as the signal starts clipping past 30.
