Please don't do that. If I had the Infinity setup, I would have simply installed it as is. Instead, I went with the Eventuri Turbo Tube and GruppeM intake. They are both carbon fiber but the weave is different.
I was wondering how close the carbon weave would be to the carbon-look on the valve cover, but ultimately didn't care if it was an exact match. Comes pretty damn close!

It's perfect match as it is in my FL5. It would be more perfect if u gold-tape intake & valve cover lol NOTE: I am kidding for those who r oblivious to sarcasm.

FWIW, the stock turbo inlet assembly (heatsink) weighs 2,542 grams:

Eventuri turbo Inlet tube installed (not everyone's cup of tea with the wrap but I happen to like the way that it looks for now):

With all of the money you spend on different wraps. You could could just save and buy the rest of the intake. The inlet isn't really doing anything on the stock turbo lol

lol.

It is pretty shocking how heavy that OEM inlet is- and how light the carbon ones are. I don't honestly think it makes too much of a difference in a practical setting, but it is a pretty obvious contrast in weight.

I did both the intake assembly and inlet tube at the same time so I can't really delineate on how much of a difference it makes in sound... but I'm digging it. I have to actively resist the temptation to roll the windows down all the time now.

The wraps were various leftover rolls of spare tape that I was simply having fun with at the time. Here is the turbo inlet installed without all of the tape:

Regarding the intake, I already bought one (different brand) and installed it today.

Yea...5+ pound heatsink removed and at least the intake side is now complete. Inlet was installed yesterday and as expected, there was no discernable difference. Intake was installed today and it sounds great with the windows down.

looks really good. Love the look of the Eventuri inlet pipe super clean and the lack of branding looks good.

Love to see photos of this installed. Should we check your build thread for that?

EDIT:
Whoops!
I thought I deleted this post!👆 ... and replaced it with this post. 👇
Total Boomer Noob mistake.

Looks good to me, for what it's worth.

Question is:
How cool is it?

Have you taken temps driving around before and after wrapping the pipe?
How and where does one go about accurately and consistently recording such data?

Oh I though you couldn't use the Eventuri turbo inlet pipe on the stock air box or was I mistaken?
