Seems to be a lot of interest in the back story of how I got my car and why I am getting rid of it...

I did pass of the one in Georgia a couple months ago and wanted to wait for the Integra Type S reveal. Shortly after i passed on that car, I purchased a Civic Sport for my son. I was on the list with the same dealer for a Type R, and was expecting my name to come up in 2024. Becuase I purchased the Civic Sport, the dealer called and said they had an allocation for me. They had moved up the list. This was a bit of a surprise and I could not pass up the opportunity.

Last week we got rid of our Jeep Wagoneer and picked up the CTR. I thought we would be just fine with the FL5 and my wife's BMW X3, plus my son had his own wheels. We quickly are realizing this was a mistake. I hated driving the huge SUV all the time, but it was unfortunately necessary right now. I can afford to get another car, but I just don't have the room for four vehicles.
Damn, that sucks. Should have kept the Wagoneer. Looking to trade my Yukon for a Grand Wagoneer.

What year Yukon do you have?
We had a lot of issues with our Wagoneer... not sure I would go back to the brand.
‘22. Good to know about Wagoneer issues. Haven’t been in a Jeep brand since my ‘13 Rubicon and ‘15 Grand Cherokee. Those were fine, but would not be happy if I drop $100k on an SUV with issues. Yukons have never failed me.

Anyhow, GLWS on the FL5. I too am purchasing the FL5 to ‘scratch an itch’. Let’s see how long I own this one for…lol!

What rare is honda giving you?
60 month 8% w/ excellent credit and way more than 20% down

I had my previous vehicle through Dade County Credit Union. So I hit up a loan officer last week and was told they could easily do 6%. I hope that’s what I get told later this morning. ?

Same rate I got with HFS, my credit union came back at 4.94% at 60 months for me but the finance manager said it would drag my delivery time out 3-4 weeks because they would have to make sure everything clears since I am an out of state buyer. I opt'd to take honda's rate for now since I also qualified for the $500 military credit and plan to refinance in a few months with my credit union. In other words, I'm impatient and wanted my car ASAP!

That's BS. I bought out of state with my own financing (5.39 w BoA vs 7.1 from dealer) and it was a total non-issue. If your car was already onsite maybe it would cause a few days delay as the bank & dealer communicate but that's worst case.

Sucks that Honda's usual subsidized rates aren't available for the CTR.

They are available actually, the dealer is just trying to make some extra money on the backend. My rate from HFS is 5.24%

Huh, seems dumb they didn't come back then and match my rate. That's fine, the BoA rate was competitive (within .1-.2 of local credit unions).

Hopefully this is not a redundant question. Anyone ever reach out to Honda corporation and actually speak to a decision maker about their allocation process. Would be nice if they rewarded the dealerships who sell at or close to Msrp. I’ve found a few places that are selling at a reasonable price but they don’t have any allocations. Makes sense to let me order my car.

I picked up my SGP FL5 last week and decided this weekend that I will likely trade it in on a family SUV. Love the car and waited a long time to get it, but we just need more space and I cannot have both cars. Send me a message if you're in the Jacksonville FL area and would like to purchase it from me.
I know you're targeting florida, but you should be posting in the members classifieds.

5.79% over here and I honestly couldn't find much better with other lenders out there, maybe but .2 or .3. I miss the sub 3% days but this is just how it is right now.

When in the process does the dealer typically recieve the VIN?
