I stated the communicated canada numbers vs the 5k we got for FK8?

I'm in the US, we received WAY more than that. Just check the registry.

Also, if your from Canada why are you trolling in a markup thread when they can't do markups.

The point of my Canadian statistic is for proportional representation of historical allocations degraded to new forecasted allocations by geo fro the FL5. If Canada took a 10x cut, what do you think will happen to USA + ROW? Just use some sense of logic here.

Canada cant do markups? ROFL, just because we DONT call it markups here, doesn't mean we don't have costs added to increase the final sales price over MSRP. Dealers add "Packages" such as warranties, tints, service plans etc to incrementally increase the sales value which is technically a "markup". Dealers will pick and choose "offers" by individuals to see who brings in the most profit for the dealerships in many cases to then OK the sales process. Many DO sell at MSRP, but we DO have incremental costs over MSRP in many or some situations.

So, no you are 100% incorrect in ALMOST everything here.

Get your own thread and go after each other there. That way we can all watch if we want to and enjoy the zen of new info as it comes in.

To be fair, we are staying on topic regarding markups no?

These are going to be produced in about the same numbers. Honda is not going to dial back the production on them after seeing how well the 10th gen sold. If anything, they may produce more.
The FL5 will not be produced in the same numbers as the FK8. Honda will make as many as they can sell but FK8 production was not hindered by supply chain issues of the same magnitude as now.

It's supply and demand. I not sure why people act confused by it.

Is a dealer marking it up to make more money?
Yes... Could that person who purchased at MSRP turn around and sell it for more? Yes.

So if it's the dealers property.. then they can sell it or at least attempt to for whatever they want. If it doesn't work then they can change it.

I worked at a dealership many moons ago they got a 2005 Ford GT in. (New) They marked it up 100k after the rage about it had died down. It was about 150k new.

Now look at the vehicle. If you want one... Hope you have 475k+ for it.

Look at the last Ford GT.. 2020 or so. They were what? 550 to 7xx for a limited one? Two years later of you want one... You're paying over a cool million.

The Golf R is an in demand car. Probably difficult to walk into a dealer and pay MSRP.

CTR will be the same. Why? Because the market says it's worth more.

Customers for years have gone into dealers and purchased cars well below msrp. Why? Because the supply was high vs the demand.

Pay it or don't. Who cares...
