Does Comfort Mode Completely Turns Off Active Engine Sound

I think removing the dash trim/control panel is unnecessary. I guess he just wanted to do extra disassembly and reassembly?

In comfort mode or R mode? In comfort I agree, but in R it sounds very synthetic to me.
Our ears are pretty sensitive to a certain range of sound (especially the human vocal range) and we can locate where those sounds are coming from quite easily. In this case, it’s super obvious that some sounds are coming from the door panels (especially when downshifting). It’s just weird and unnatural.

Thanks for the video. I'm sure I won't risk pulling the dash apart. I've removed enough auto interior parts to know when something is too delicate for me to attempt. I'm going to settle for the Comfort setting, which I already like better than the R-mode and I'm definitely going to try that method of opening the exhaust pipe all the time. That's probably enough for me.
