This is the first time I've heard of this, do you have any pictures?

I can see the reasoning for that sentiment except for the tune. Tuning the car with no bolt ons has made it so much more fun to drive!I ended up selling my FL5 after running nearly full bolt on and dyno tuned. So, in a sense, I regret all my mods. Reason being, it just wasn’t a practical daily driver being extremely loud (AWE Track), low, and very fast for my limited driving. It wasn’t even my daily, and just sat in my garage, barely driven. I would have been likely to drive it more if it was stock.
If I could do it over, the only mods I’d keep would be a drop in air filter & the 27Won street motor mount. No exhaust, no springs, no intercooler, no tune.
i almost did the drop-in filter but lots of dusty, dirt roads around here so i figured OEM filter would be best for max filtration. and people are constantly burning shit so it's always smokey.I can see the reasoning for that sentiment except for the tune. Not all coilovers are the same. Care to share what you put on the car?Coilovers: They're great for the track, super fast, but they're ridiculously stiff on the street. At the softest configuration, it is worst than R mode. I guess this is the price you pay for a wannabe race car.![]()
This is hilarious because some guy was trying to tell me the racing coilovers were a great choice to run on a street car.Coilovers: They're great for the track, super fast, but they're ridiculously stiff on the street. Do you think it drones? I don’t mind some drone bc that’s comes with the territory if you go with valveless exhausts. I just installed mine it sounds great but maybe having some regret not doing their twin loop one. Sacrifice some sound for ability to turn it down on the highway. It doesn’t really drone in 6th gear tho so that’s a bonus.I was looking at the awe exhaust as my first option, but ended up going with a remark dual tip. The quality over the awe is night and day, and drone is very minimal. Here’s a close up of the welds. It’s similarly priced to the awe and just so much better![]()
He has top shelf coilovers, JRZ RS PRONot all coilovers are the same. Care to share what you put on the car?
low rpm range (2-4000) and cruising in 6th the drone is noticeable. i love awe stuff and run their touring systems on all my cars, i also have the same drone on my GR & fk8 type R lolDo you think it drones? That chrome coating is super expensive!I did not need to see this, because now I want it for no good reason ?
The Hasport 62a is phenomenal.I think the only mod i regret is the 27won 70a RMM. It's a bit stiff for my preferences. I may change out to something a little less aggressive.
You can check yourself out while working on it.That chrome coating is super expensive!
Blinded by money! That chrome coating is super expensive!
Did you get the spoon collars?I regret the subframe rigid collars. I had a really hard time believing that they would actually do anything, but I grabbed a set on Black Friday. I have had them installed for two weeks now and I can confidently say that they did nothing for the feel of the car. I'm sure they will make it easier to get an even alignment side-to-side, but that isn't enough to justify the cost and, more importantly, the time it takes to install them.
