You do not need to replace anything when using the manual method. All original hardware gets reused

I bought the md808pro specifically for the rear brakes on my fl5 got the scanner for 220 shipping included works great to put into maintenance mode and back into normal and free updates for lifeHaving some issues!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
This is now how I feel - I was able to turn the EPB by hand because I couldnt find the external 11mm. I have now lol.Manual method is the way to go IMO, I've already done it twice. It adds like 2 extra minutes to the job. Not worth getting the scanner just for this unless you need/want it for other things too.
Thanks for the diagram. I don't normally set the ebrake when I do this I will need to check into the manual process ?@svvitch it can break the worm gears or electric motor if you did that. You still have to turn the piston to retract it back into the caliper but you have to either remove or retract the electronic bits first.
This is still not the best image but kind of shows you whats going on and the things you could break.

Sorry I'm smooth brain, will maintenance mode automatically retract the caliper?I use this: Amazon.com: Autel MaxiAP AP200 OBD2 Scanner Bluetooth Wireless OBDII Auto Diagnostic Tool with Full System Diagnostic, 19 Reset Functions, AutoVIN, Check Engine Light Code Reader for iPhone Android White&Gray : Automotive
It was 70 bucks and works perfectly every time. Super easy.
Yes, at least it's supposed to. You can also remove the cover and wind it back manually.Sorry I'm smooth brain, will maintenance mode automatically retract the caliper?
It retracts the EPB which lets you then manually push the piston back in.Sorry I'm smooth brain, will maintenance mode automatically retract the caliper?
