We tried to create a solution that would allow the entire water cooler to have air flow without any other components in front of it. The RX7 has dimensions that fit perfectly. We cut a piece of crashbar, but I think there is room to do it without interference. This works great.

Wow this is actually really good I'm guessing these are your coolant temps? Do you have any oil coolers?

Whats funny is that when I was googling the hot V setup, I saw alot of stuff about the builds showing the RX7 lol

Unfortunately, we didn't have time to install an oil cooler. For the next competition, we will install a cooler and an oil temperature sensor.

15min of hard driving. From second gear to 4th hard braking and repeat for 15min.
Water temperature of 208F maximum. Oil temperature 230F maximum.
Without oil cooler ! .
Air temperature 90F.

We will now install the oil cooler and try again.

In 2 weeks we will be participating in a one-hour endurance race. ;) ( Japfest.pl Tor Poznań - Track Poznań)

In the race the pace won't be high, I think it will be easy to keep the temperatures within the norm.

Last year I started in the stock FK8 with the water cooler replaced with a bigger one and hel oil cooler. In the time attack on the same track the time was 1:49, and in the race I couldn't keep the pace lower than 1:55-2:00min due to the temperatures.
I finished the race in 10th position starting from 7 out of 30 cars. This year I'm counting on a better position ;)
