Carpet trunk mat?

Anyone know if there's a carpet trunk mat for our car? I don't really like the rubber mats. Any leads would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

There are several options out there just none of them OEM. The closest you'll find is the MUGEN Sport Luggage Mat. It's not too pricey if you go through BHJ or RZCrew.

Thanks. I don't mind that it's not OEM if it's good quality. I got excited about the MUGEN Sport Luggage Mat until I saw the shape - there's no cutout on the bottom right side? This is similar to the OE rubber mat, which you can at least trim off - can't do that with a carpet mat

I wouldn't be so sure about that. The FJ Craft trunk mat is shaped similarly and there is no need to trim it to make it fit.

It will cover the bottom of the subwoofer as is. Do you have the FJ Craft trunk mat? If so, can you share a picture of your trunk with the mat? The picture shown by FJ Craft don't have a subwoofer in the car.

Thanks. That doesn't appeared to be a US model. As you can see in that video, there's no subwoofer on the right side of the trunk.

I have the FJ Craft Trunk Mat, and it does not fit perfect. Here is a photo, which shows the right side of the trunk.

It doesn't bother me enough to swap it out for the rubber Type R mat. Overall it's a high quality mat, and serves its purpose.

Appreciate the photo. I have the molded plastic OEM Type R mat, and 2 1/2 years later, I have yet to cut off the extra piece. It doesn't bother me and forgot I never cut it off.

Thanks for the photo! It doesn't look to cover too much of the subwoofer, so this is definitely an option. Do you have another picture zooming further out? Thanks.

Here is a photo of the entire trunk mat. Before I purchased the trunk mat, the seller in Japan did confirm this would fit USDM models, but I don't believe he was aware of the subwoofer.

The carpet could be trimmed about 1" for a perfect fit, but it will fray if the edge is not bound. Not worth the time or effort IMO.

Yeah, not bad at all! The seller was also kind enough to issue a partial refund, so I ended paying $140.xx.

I’m running an OEM UKDM carpet ‘boot’ mat from a 17-21 FK8, the fit is extremely close to the FL5.

That being said, I’m also running the FK8 spare tire kit and that changes the trunk floor height. Overall I can see past the fitment due to the fact that it’s OEM and it says Type R on it
